The Fashion Institute in Los Angeles recently opened up its Oustanding Art of Television and Costume Design Exhibit, which featured clothing used in a bunch of shows/movies from this past year, including “Gossip Girl,”  ”No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency” and “Coco Chanel.” Guess which tv show the clothes featured here are from? (Not for nothing, but I doubt you’ll guess in large part because the mannequins make it almost impossible. Just goes to show that most times it’s the woman who makes the clothes not the other way around.)

I can totally allow myself to time travel to the dreamy period Mr. Lagerfeld  took us to, for his Chanel  Cruise Collection for 2010 where modern staples like leggings for example,   are made to look  sophisticated while remaining true to the Icon that is  Chanel. Which is where I think Lagerfeld’s genius lies, aside from the ‘mystique’ that surrounds him, he has been able to make  this line into something  we’re sure Coco would be proud of. Check out the full  Chanel Cruise 2010 collection at  Missonmedia. Fabulous!
