Last night we attended Coco & Breezy’s first runway for their signature eyewear. Titled “Rainy Days,” the collection “represents a shield of protection for those taunted for being different.” Known for bold studded eyewear with a sci-fi edge and the idea of being out of this world, Spring 2012 sees a softer more subtle silhouette in various hues we can see as having a broader appeal.
The show opened with an umbrella clad ballerina, a violinist a short film and a voice narrating the trajectory of the twins who pretty much dropped averything in their native Minesota and moved to New York to follow their fashion dreams .
While the eyewear was the highlight, the closing looks featuring body hugging dresses made in collaboration with Courtney M. Roberts (a college student) caught our eye as well as a special appearance by Omarion who of course made us want to belt out a rendition of ”Ice Box” (can’t help it). On the next page a closer look the eywear and a few attendees.
