Dior presented its oh-so-impecably cruise 2011 collection in Shanghai, everyone’s favorite new locale (oh the lure of China’s burgeoning middle class) this past Saturday. In conjunction with presentation of the cruise line, Dior celebrated the re-opening of the Plaza 66 boutique and also debuted “Lady Blue,” a film written and directed by David Lynch and starring Marion Cotillard. For my whole adult life I’ve been fascinated and drawn to turbans. Sadly, I’ve never figured out a circumstance where I could rock one without creating a look that screams out eccentric aunt a la "Grey Gardens." There are those who could perhaps wear them without that effect, but I aint one of them.

It’s been a minute since I’ve been inspired to stamp something "HighSnobettiest," but you gotta admit these are pretty amazing. Fashion lovers know that the trend these days is to create eye-popping shoes that are the centerpiece of the outfit , but not every big-name designer has been able to pull it off. With his Resort 2009 collection, Christian Dior throws his hat into the ring and hits a bullseye.
