To tell the stories behind the iconic brand and designer, Chanel releases a video series to get a better understanding of what lies behind the perfume Chanel No.5. This second video focusses on Marilyn Monroe and her legendary answer to the question: “What do you wear to bed?” Do you remember what she answered?

A few days ago we gave you the news of Brad Pitt being chosen by Chanel to star in its new campaign for the iconic Chanel No.5 fragrance. After some initial video teasers with Brad asking questions like, “What’s the mystery?” and “Do you feel lucky?” the official ad campaign was released today and we indeed feel pretty lucky that Brad was chosen to be the first male face for a women’s fragrance in Chanel No.5’s 91-year history.

Starting mid-October, Brad Pitt will be the first man speaking about (and hopefully help selling) the Chanel No.5 fragrance.

Andrea d’Avack, president of Chanel Fragrance & Beauty about the project:

“To keep a legend fresh, you always have to change its point of view. It is the first time we’ve had a man speaking about a women’s fragrance. We think very much that the perfume is a seduction between a man, a woman and the perfume. No.5 is our leading fragrance, and we are willing to make the investment to keep it on that level.”

The global campaign will include a commercial, directed by Joe Wright that will lauch on October 15 and a print campaign to appaer in fashion magazines in November. We’ll keep you posted with first images.
