‘Les Perles De Chanel’ Spring 2011 Nail Polish Colors

A lot of fuss is made about Chanel’s nail polishes, which, frankly in the year 2010 isn’t deserved. The quality is good, but the power it once had setting colors trends no longer exists—there are simply way too many players in the game who are focused not just on color innovation, but also new textures and designs. That all being said, this Spring 2011 collection, entitled “Les Perles De Chanel” featuring colors “Pearl Drop” and “Black Pearl,” does have my heart fluttering. No. 1, love that it’s pearl–never could get with the flat trend; next, one of the colors is white with gold flecks(!), ’nuff said if you know even an ounce about my color preferences; and finally, the black pearl is actually a sort of jade, which strikes me as a perfect color for this Spring (bring’s to mind the mint green Alex Wang showed, only a meaner/darker version, which is always good).
