For it’s Spring 2013 collection, Sandqvist continues to select inspiring artists to design a bag. This season, wonderful musician Ane Brun transfers her outstanding style and presents a bag in the form of a briefcase that can either be carried as a usual bag or as a backpack with removable shoulder straps.
The bag is made from vegetable tanned leather and is available in black, cognac brown and tan brown from Sandqvist flagship stores and online from their online store.

Current Elliott, known for its unique denim cuts teamed up with queen of digital print, Mary Katrantzou. The result of this collab is a capsule collection of denim pieces printed with passport stamps, banknotes, postage stamps and graphic patterns in a palette of soft white, blue and pink.

Prada launches a capsule collection of slippers for women featuring five styles ranging from classic leather slipper to studded, embroidered and velvet version.

Jimmy Choo teamed up with contemporary artist Rob Pruitt on a capsule collection featuring Pritt-typical prints and patterns full of humour and visual flush. From Andy Warhol to glittering pandas to neon animal prints the collection covers all styles that we know from the 80’s. The collection can be pre-ordered on the Jimmy Choo website and can be viewed and purchased in November from all Jimmy Choo stores.

For a limited capsule collection, Stussy Womens teams up with Love Made. The video for the collection, produced by Tiger Tiger, was shot in Downtown L.A. and represents the urban lifstyle that will also reflect in the collection. “Heartbeat City” will launch on August 15. We will keep you posted!

Another Olympic Games collaboration that has popped up last week is this pretty groovy one featuring Topshop and Opening Ceremony, who have teamed up on a capsule collection in Union Jack colors featuring simple tops, shorts and skirts. This collection was launched separately from the Opening Ceremony London pop-up store, and is available in stores and online from Topshop and OC. There are still some pieces in stock so grab one of one of these limited edition pieces before the games end.

Two lux titans Karl Lagerfeld and Hogan get together on a capsule collection, featuring a futuristic sneaker, an unusual cowboy boot, a clutch bag, a messenger, a trench coat and a jacket. The shoes especially have a unique feel to them, definitely correct for the high-end fashionista who likes to elevate above the crowd. Via Dazeddigital.

Woolrich is showing some advance images of the limited edition 180th limited edition anniversary collection we showed a peek of a few months back from a visit to Project. It’s very much in step with the heritage/authentic vibe, which has been sweeping menswear in a big way for a while now. Nice that some of those companies are finally giving some love to the ladies. Look for at stores including Barney’s, Steven Alan, Ron Herman, and Gorsuch come August.

The TooFly X Upper Playground capsule collection is now available. We love most how TooFly portrays women, which is of course powerful but also unique and creative with all stereotypes being thorougly turned on their head.  Here is what she had to say about the designs, “Was on some new zone when I created these pieces a year ago. Time did not exist. All I wanted to do was express a energy flow that was coming from some amazing place you can’t even see but just feel.  Yeah…it’s some energy quantum physics shit. Consciousness and Pink Floyd are a great mix for an afternoon of art & design.”

When it comes to authenticity and heritage, not too many brands have it over the 180-year old Woolrich. I’ve had this eye on this brand for a while so how delightful was it to see it’s offering a capsule collection collection for women, featuring the brand’s signature classic looks spruced up with jazzy cuts and fur trims. In celebration of its anniversary, there will be  a total of 180 pieces manufactured and only 60 will be sold in the United. No word yet on where they will retail.
