Two lux titans Karl Lagerfeld and Hogan get together on a capsule collection, featuring a futuristic sneaker, an unusual cowboy boot, a clutch bag, a messenger, a trench coat and a jacket. Woolrich is showing some advance images of the limited edition 180th limited edition anniversary collection we showed a peek of a few months back from a visit to Project. It’s very much in step with the heritage/authentic vibe, which has been sweeping menswear in a big way for a while now. Nice that some of those companies are finally giving some love to the ladies. Look for at stores including Barney’s, Steven Alan, Ron Herman, and Gorsuch come August.

The TooFly X Upper Playground capsule collection is now available. We love most how TooFly portrays women, which is of course powerful but also unique and creative with all stereotypes being thorougly turned on their head.  Here is what she had to say about the designs, “Was on some new zone when I created these pieces a year ago. Time did not exist. All I wanted to do was express a energy flow that was coming from some amazing place you can’t even see but just feel.  Yeah…it’s some energy quantum physics shit. Consciousness and Pink Floyd are a great mix for an afternoon of art & design.”

When it comes to authenticity and heritage, not too many brands have it over the 180-year old Woolrich. I’ve had this eye on this brand for a while so how delightful was it to see it’s offering a capsule collection collection for women, featuring the brand’s signature classic looks spruced up with jazzy cuts and fur trims. In celebration of its anniversary, there will be  a total of 180 pieces manufactured and only 60 will be sold in the United. No word yet on where they will retail.
