Mimicking fun colorful anklets (which we highly endorse) these Burberry sandals are indeed fun. While I personally find a kitten heel  problematic due to an  attraction to extremes (very low or very high), the reality is that a kitten heel is very  practical and can really look charming. Women hoping to get a preview of Burberry’s Prorsum’s women’s collection are tuning into the men’s Autumn 2011 collection to gets hints of what’s to come in outerwear, which was a big strength for the label last season. Speaking to the rugged outdoor trend, plaid is the order of the day and yes, there’s lots to covet, but ehh, could there not have been a bit more in the way of sheepskin detail or anything for that matter to turn the wattage up a bit? Or maybe it’s best to let the men be men and hold back judgement until the women’s collection is actually presented. See more outerwear via Style on the next page.

Earlier this morning Samia posted up images from the 3-D New York presentation of Burberry’s Fall 2010 collection we attended, and between now and the end of the day, don’t mind me if every thing I post is Burberry-related. The collection was that good. Seriously. The outerwear was my favorte part of the show and the brand gets big props for capitalizing on the excitement shows generate by taking the innovative step of making the collection available for purchase on its site through February 26th. Look at that, the company itself benefiting by showing its goods six months in advance rather than the copiers–perhaps there’s hope for the fashion industry after all!
