NY-based designers were there in big numbers, too, including Alexander Wang (above with Zoe Kravitz), Joseph Altuzarra, Lazaro Hernandez & JackMcCollough, Anna Sui and Brian Atwood.

One of the big emerging shoe trends came into focus at the Kids’ Choice Awards, where celebs traded in complicated footwear for simple and classic pumps, preferable in nude tones. From left to right: Rihanna and Rosario Dawson, both of whom are wearing Brian Atwood, and Tyra Banks (whose shoes look about a size too big!).

I met Brian Atwood a while back . I rememeber how charming he was but also the naughty exchange he had with a salesguy about the 5inch red stlletoes I later purchased , something about “..keeping your stilletoes on ..” Turns out his fantasy became reality in his latest book featuring Rene Russo and the very sexy Jon Kortajarena, titled Role Play Rene.

So yesterday my  pal Amy invited me to join her at Saks for a spring fashion Presentation..I sucked up my aversion of department stores and entered the emporium that is Saks Fift Avenue.Little did we both know that March 13 was a Mega push for the department store, who chose to cater to it’s female consumers by offering them lots of wine ,champagne and even gelato…And the opportunity to do something that most of us would love to do talk about clothes,sip champagne and meet the designers…

Amy and I are obssesed with shoes..maybe it’s a Sag’s thing? any thoughts Lois??Anyway I had heard  of The Mega renovation of sak’s shoe department but when I saw it I realized that this was female consumer seduction at it’s finest…They really did a good job!

All the high end footwear is displayed at eye level and below( A big deal is visual merchandising) and the whole floor is flourished with comfy counches,benches , no visible cash register and of course Hunky Good Looking shoe salesmen in sharp suits like Everton Devonish on the Left… Willing to drop to their knees to carefully fit you into your  High- end footwear..I mean look at him..he could be a police officer with this stature…(He rocks by the way Ask for Him if you ever wanna drop some loot on shoes!!)

And then as I was trying on a pair of Scarlett Red four inch pumps Below( Yes they made it home with me..) Brian Atwood walks over….

and casually commented  on how hot yours truly looked  ..and even got into a naughty tirade with Everton about those being shoes you keep on….Boys will be boys…

Anyway Brian has some talent to go with his looks A detail that sets his shoes apart is a heart shaped padding right at the ball of the foot..where they usually hurt …. check out more of his shoes after the jump
