Happy Birthdays are in order for the dreamer, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr! Isn’t it amazing how Barack Obama’s inauguration is taking place on this day? Believe in dreams, destiny and magic, people, because they are realer in many ways than the type on this page.

Oh the charm!

Barack Obama at a recent fundraiser in Harlem’s mega-legendary Apollo Theater makes good on a promise to staff to sing a line or two from a Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together,” a song that might just end up being a bit of a campaign theme. Not exactly fashion-oriented but heck it’s Sunday, people and all bets are off.

This blog is so far off the rails in terms of what’s its content is supposed be today that I figured I’d just pile on with this video, in which Jay’s “Dirt Off Your Shoulders” song is mashed up with clips from the campaign, including Barack’s speech yesterday when he channels Mr. Carter and literally brushes his shoulders off.
