Accessory designer Tanaya Henry (ab0ve), another HS indie fave, did a presentation of her Autumn Lace by Tanaya line at Dowtown boutique Ferality Show last week during fashion week. She had lots of new offerings, including a piece that drapes over the back and shoulders, plus new versions of the original Lace. Lots of the ladies there were “laced-up,” and it was amazing to see how much pop and pizzaz these pieces add to any outfit. Available of purchase here, including the set Nicki Minaj wore in her “Your Love” video.

Now that the NY Fashion Week is over, we’re starting to hear from some of our favorite indie brands, including Claw Money, whose super fantastic claw logo knows no match among her peers. This time, designer mastermind Claudia combined the logo with one of her fave shopping destinations, Bloomies, using the same font from the famoux lux chain to creat ” Clawmingdales.” The autumn collection features three-quarter-length sleeve shirts, loose-fitting crop tops, and a kimono sleeve tee, plus sweatsuits, leggings and even a pair of panties, in tan, navy and charcoal. The featured model? Why that would be notorious grafitti artist, Utah.

Accessory line Miss Wax’s Autumn 2010 lookbook landed in our mailboxes this morning.  The pop art/ architectural elements are still there, but this collection definitely adds and edgier element, too, with the finger talons, wrap earrings and shoulder armor relfecting the new attitude. Defintely the brand’s strongest collection yet. Keep an eye out for the fashion used in the lookbook, which includes Hellz, Rose Ponizel and Rojas. Look for the collection to hit stores in November.

Ralph Lauren is in a very good place these days and you can feel the confidence oozing in this video ad, featuring looks from Rugby Autumn 2010.  Bonus points for filming it in Brooklyn’s Cobble Hill neighborhood, which is populated by folks who are pretty much Ralph’s exact target demographic. As a reference point, the neighborhood got famous for a minute when Heath Ledger and Michelle Willams made house there with their new baby a few years back.

Stylebubble got to visit a Chanel showroom, where she got up close and personal with the Autumn 2010 collection (jealous much am I??). Yes, THAT collection, the furry, controversial one, which would have been soooo much more on point if Karl had used a better quality fur than the cheap-o Halloween custume stuff he opted for. Anyway, some of the items are great, like these shades here–note the plushier fur, while others, meh, not so much. The iced-out clutch is weird–its looks like it belongs to a person whose dog sheds a lot, but the clog boots…be still my beating heart. More images on the next page.

From HighSnobiety we saw and immediately snatched images from Adidas Originals By Jeremy Scott looks from the Autumn/Winter 2010 collection. Like I said a couple days back about JS, designing without fear and now I’m going to add, a game changer for the category. More looks mostly for men–though women could easily rock them–on the next page.

Dolce & Gabana make the most of Scarlett Johansson’s movie-actress good looks in the Autumn cosmetics campain. It’s quite luscious and is also right in step with fashion’s current love affair with the 50s. Via Trendland.
