Asics has partnered with Hello Kitty before but this is the first time the two have done a head-to-toe collection. Called “Run With Hello Kitty,” it’s tech tops, bottoms, shoes and accessories meant to appeal to younger customers who want to stay cute while working out. Asics and Sanrio Hello Kitty have come together again for a limited edition offering that will arrive just in time for the holidays. The style here is called the “Euphoria,” at it will be available at Sanrio and Sanrio.com only, beginning in late November. A couple more pics after the flip, courtesy of Asics.

In our visit to the Asics showroom last week, we got to preview fall 2010. The Tokidoki collabo wasn’t available to be shown yet (apparently there were some delays in putting it together aand it will launch for holiday), but we liked what we saw from the Onitsuko Tiger and Asics lifestyle collection. This page features an OT puffy boot, which will go on sale in July or so. After the flip, there are a ton more trainers, using some very slick fabrications and colors (I liked the grey, Samia perferred the purple.)

Helloooooooo Kitty

Asics just passed along images from its second collabo with Sanrio’s Hello Kitty. The shoes are fly directly in the face of current sneaker trends toward toned down colors and graphics, which is great news for Hello Kitty fans, who have never been shy about putting their cuteness on blast. The shoes will be available Nov. 1 at Sanrio’s on-line store, and Sanrio stores in New York City, San Francisco and Hawaii.

Onitsuka Tiger Tokidoki Lunetta

We first saw the Spring Onitsuka Tiger Tokidoki collabo product at Magic, but couldn’t take images. Now the first couple of style shots are coming in and more will follow after our showroom visit with Onisuka next week. The men’s shoes (on the flip) are already on sale and the women’s land in early April (most likely at high-end department stores like Nordstrom).

Of course I visited the Tokidoki booth while at Magic last week. HighSnobette is a long-time fan of Italian designer Simone and it’s always fun to see what he’s cooking up. New on the menu? A so-cute children’s line and Tokidoki and Asics next shoe collabo (which we couldn’t photograph, but will see in mid-March so hang tight. It’s cute and includes boots this time!).

Asics had a big ole party last night celebrating the unveiling of the biggest Lite Brite creation ever. Natch, it was a Lite Brite of an Asics sneaker and there were serious folks in suits from Guiness Book on hand to give Asics its award and everything.  

But in my mind, the real Lite Brite of the evening was Kid Sister, who did a 45 minute or so set at the event. I had no idea that she was gonna be there and damn was I pleasantly surprised to hear the news. And baby girl is JUST as popping in real life as she is in her videos. A total natural-born star/hip chick.

After her performance, Samia and I chatted with her for a minute and she told us that her CD release date had been moved up from early November to late November. Which, not for nothing, chaps my ass!! I mean, things must be pretty damn bad in the industry if it’s putting someone like Kid Sister, who not only has talent, but effervescence and charm to go with it, on stall mode, even if it is only for two weeks. Ugh, when we vote in the change president next month, we should also vote in a new music industry with him.

One of the things Onitsuka is doing for spring is this Chinese-astrology-inspired line. I must say, the art of some of these shoes is quite amazing. Check out this one:

Tokidoki was showing its full line at Pool, including its second shoe collabo with Asics, which will launch in Spring 2009. Those I couldn’t shoot (but we will have those later this month and btw, the line looks AMAZING), but there was all sort of other adorable things that I was able to photograph, including designer Simone Legno, who’s pretty much as loveable and cute as his designs.

I know I’m always hyping the hightops, but the truth is I wear plenty of lows. We women need variety after all! And what better choice for a pair of low kicks than these Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 styles, which are reissues from the 1968 Mexico City Games. What’s special about ‘em is that they were the first Onitsuka Tiger shoes to feature the now famous tiger stripes.
