Dr. Martens launches a capsule collection of apparel inspired by the punk movement which embraced its footwear. The line will consist of  button down shirts for men and women as well as t-shirts and will only be available in the U.K. When established heritage  footwear brands make the move into apparel,  I’m always puzzled. Artist Karen Ingham  took on the ambitious project of saving the shrinking populations of bees and other pollinators, by creating “Pollinator Frocks,” a series of apparel  treated with a nectar-like sugar solution that will attracts and nourish bees and the like.  She even created outfits for separate occasions: day-wear to draw bees and butterflies and evening-wear for nocturnal critters such as moths. While the poetry of having butterflies on my dress can seduce me, I don’t know about being  surrounded by moths? But it is for the good of the earth. Moths don’t bite.
