Though Amber Rose isn’t causing the tidal wave of buzz she did when she first appeared on the arm of Kanye West, she’s still out there doing her thing, including a feature in YRB magazine where we see her sporting a Marilyn-style blonde wig. It’s good to see that the staff let her spreard her wings a bit and try something in a different lane from the white-girl-with-the-big-booty that had everyone losing their minds for a minute. In the article, Rose says she was always a weirdo, and says about her beautiful bod and signing with Ford Model Agency, ““I’m lucky because I get to keep my womanly figure, and that’s very important for me and the young girls that look up to me – that they can have curves and breasts, hips, and ass and still feel beautiful.”

Amber Rose is featured in this month’s issue of Gotham magazine, in a feature entitled “Bright Young Things.” The theme up-and-coming New Yorkers, modeling the best of spring fashion. In the image featured above (which also includes Olympians Tim Morehouse and Jason Rogers), she’s wearing a Moschino dress and an amazing pair of Giuseppe Zanotti heels.

It’s been interesting to watch Amber’s career develop. Kanye obviously has been a major springboard so one has to wonder what will happen should he disappear from the scene. It’s been my observation that women have greater staying power when they are the ones in charge of their career moves. Yes, many of the most notable divas in history were ushered in by male mentors, but it seems the great ones at some point or another had a moment where they fought for and won creative control. Will Amber eventually do the same? Hope so.

We were all so focused on Kanye and Amber’s fur display last week that his accessory game went under the radar. All I can say is sick, sick, sick! And nice mani, Ye!

Don’t know why, but the Paris shows seem to bring out the best in Kanye and Amber. Maybe it’s because they’re more conscious of how they appear and unlike most folks these days, are not in the least bit afraid of making a statement. They’re arriving at LV in the photo on the left and YSL on the right. Gotta say, LOVE the fur! (And if by chance you missed Kelis’s MySpace rant on fur, check it out….she has a lot to say!)

Amber and Kanye were spotted at some gala thing-y this past weekend for Metropolitan Opera. This is cute, it’s like their recreating a long past that never existed. I’m feeling love here, people. Some sort of interesting, must-be-destined connection between these two. And, yes, even if it only last three months, sometimes those types of relationships can be more significant than the ones that drag on five years too long!
