Knitwear accessory brand Roboty Ręczne has just added a lookbook to its site, titled “Hey Sailor.” The featured accessories are summer perfect as are the photos.

Alexander Wang’s love affair with metallic shine continues with his Autum 2011 collection, started as it did with the apricot lame strips that he showed on bottoms for Spring 2011 . In this post we focus on his shoes and accessories for as much as Downtown girlies lust for every iota of his collections, it’s his shoes and especially his bags that they will murder to own. As bags size down, Wang makes his practically miniature with the two shown above the biggest of the bunch. Both are adorable, but it’s the mini-foxtails that make them next level and 100 percent covetable. On the next page, see his fur sunglasses, caped-crusader (or mudflat) sandals and some open-toe quilted boots that you will either love or despise, no in between. And there’s also a pic of Wang himself, flaunting his shiny locks and looking very much like the Downtown sneaker head we hear he is.  Via.

We’ve already posted some of the gowns worn for the Golden Globe awards, and were excited to discover some close-ups of the accessories celebs chose via CBS. Anne Hathaway is shown here sporting a Roger Vivier clutch and a dazzling Van Cleef ring–and check out the amazing sequin detail on her dress! On another note, it’s interesting to see that as big as splashy nail art and polish trends are these days, almost every celeb is sporting a manicure that is conservative almost to the extreme! Says something me thinks about the very safe mindsets of the stylists who dress these pretty ladies. The fact that brands place their products on celebs is a well known practice, but it’s a little less known that they actively seek out folks recognized as “influencers,” people who are known for planting the seeds for new trends the masses eventually follow. Louis Vuitton makes the practice a public one by having a combination of celebs and influencers model its necklaces, bracelets, earrings and of course scarves for its Spring 2011 accessories lookbook. One of our longstanding faves, accessory designer and artist Bijules‘ gold nipple pastie was among the items used to style SHOWStudio’s fashion film, “The Waist,” part of the site’s Fashion Body series. Directed by photographer Kristian Schuller and filmmaker Marie Schuller, the film also features designs by Viktor & Rolf, Louis Vuitton and Gareth Pugh. See the entire film at SHOWstudio.

Hermes’ presentation for its summer 2010 accessory collection is artsy as can be (aka, I’m confused) with a theme entitled “Tales to Be Told.” Definitately the campaign has an Alice-in-Wonderland feel, albeit minus the color. The bags shown on this page are the best part for certain and lovers of cleanly-line classics should find them swoon-worthy. Next page there are some hats, another bag and shoes.

Accessory designer Dominic Jones‘ latest creations are featured in the March issue of Vice magazine. He’s evolved from studs and punk looks from last year to necklaces that speak to the oceanic cycle of life and death. It’s a theme Alex McQueen explored with his spring 2010 collection, too. And in general it seems to be part of a new direction in fashion of getting cozier with our animal roots, even if that mostly means wearing them as adornment, whether dead or living.
