Dealers of the Purple Cloth have really out done themselves with their Spring/Summer ‘09 look book. The styling is amazing and makes me want to buy every piece and the photography makes you feel like you are watching the whole thing transpire before your very own eyes. The model manages to pull of the whole “hey, I’m a really delicate, booze guzzling, tomboy with a perfect manicure and stilettos glue to my feet”  look that  A.  isn’t easy to pull off and B. I’m kinda jealous of.  I have to say I’m not surprised by how glammed out the whole aesthetic is being that Lydia, HBIC at Dealers of the Purple Cloth, is always impeccably dressed and looking fly. Word on the street is it will be just a short while before we can all get our hands on the Spring/Summer collection and Highsnobette will be sure to keep you updated.

Stella McCartney  was invited to create a capsule collection for the fabulous online retailer net-a-porter. The line of 23 pieces, including accessories, will be available in May. Via Vogue France.

We here at Highsnobette were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of what’s to come for Creative Recreation. I must say I was already a huge fan of the brand and after meeting their super gracious and sweet staff and hearing about their plots to take over the sneaker world i’m now borderline obssesed with the brand. I’m pleased as punch to announce that over the next year or so Creative Recreation is looking to amp up their women’s line and they have a lot in store for us ladies. My sneak peek revealed that this season they kept to their clean aesthetic but experimented with an interesting array of materials, textures, and patterns. From patent leather to neoprene (yes! Neoprene!) Creative Rec really took some chances and mixed things up and the results were explosive. I personally plan on being first in line to grab the robin’s egg blue neoprene set to hit stores July 1st. Look for the rest to drop by September.

MadeMe was a at Magic, natch. We had already posted up their Spring 2009 offerings so I popped by the booth to say hello and see if there wasn’t anything additional we could photograph. Well there wasn’t, but I couldn’t help but snap THE leather motorcycle jacket (famously worn by Alicia Keyes in her 1997 “Like You’ll Never See Me Again” video) designed by head mistress of MadeMe, Erin Magee (that’s her rep in the image, not her). Yes, everyone is offering some version of this silhouette for Fall 2009, but Erin gets the nod for being among the first if not the first to pump new life into this classic, bad girl jacket. If you want one, move fast as they tend to sell out.

Proving that in well made shoes you can really do anything.  Take a look at  Shanga Peluda’s presentation of Ld Tuttle’s Spring/Summer 2009.

New York-based artist Shanan Campanero recently launched a very stylish line of hand made wallpaper line under the name Eskayel. Shanan has won us over with her technique of combining a subtle color pallete with vivid splatters and curved lines,  creating a  wonderful mix of  expressionism and abstraction. Definitely an artist to watch!

Based out of Amsterdam, LEW is a line that pairs relaxed silhouettes with adventurous colors and geometric prints. Their Spring/Summer collection is just what I need to get out of my grey/black rut caused by the current New England weather. Over the past few months my wardrobe’s color palette has been somewhat stoic and LEW’s Easter egg colored separates are the jolt I need.
