Dior Joaillerie has brought us a new collection by Victoire de Castellane titled Milly Carnivora. The collection on a whole is whimsical and was obviously inspired by nature. I love the energetic color palette and the intricacy and detail put into each piece is astounding. Dior Joaillerie has put up a video explaining the process of constructing the jewels that shouldn’t be missed.

John Galliano can do no wrong. Dior’s Haute Couture Spring 2009 collection is sheer perfection. With oversized feathered hats and voluminous ball gowns fit for Scarlett O’Hara, the line had a southern peach meets Little Bo Peep feel. The color palate was delicious and an obvious homage to Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer, who he has cited as his inspiration for the collection. Even with all of the sculptural elements, Galliano managed to make the expansive skirts and billowing sleeves look light as air.

There is something old-school , thoroughly classy and sexy about a nice men’s yellow  gold watch that platinum, titanium and even white gold never attain.On a woman’s wrist it’s like ” I got  it like that ” Timeless. For my whole adult life I’ve been fascinated and drawn to turbans. Sadly, I’ve never figured out a circumstance where I could rock one without creating a look that screams out eccentric aunt a la "Grey Gardens." There are those who could perhaps wear them without that effect, but I aint one of them.

Being sold on Etsy as we speak by seller TialeyVintage. On the other side I did a shot of the inside so all my label babies can see it’s really Christain Dior.

With Dior adding a statue reminiscent of the "Venus Hottentote" as a heel to a sandal I can say that we are living some of the most exciting times in accessories, with alot of design houses creating pieces that are if anything museum worthy!

It’s been a minute since I’ve been inspired to stamp something "HighSnobettiest," but you gotta admit these are pretty amazing. Fashion lovers know that the trend these days is to create eye-popping shoes that are the centerpiece of the outfit , but not every big-name designer has been able to pull it off. With his Resort 2009 collection, Christian Dior throws his hat into the ring and hits a bullseye.
