We had a very tough time deciding between the final two, but we had to give it to Kimberly, who had the moxie/style to pair pearls and a formal dress with customized Chucks (with a call out to our very own Brooklyn no less)! I don’t think I can ever get tired of metallics on kicks,however I  have been seriously into high tops for a long time.The Nizza Low Sleek by Adidas as the name says, is indeed pretty sleek and classy looking.The white solewith  the stripe  makes them kind of converse-is tough right?Available @Adidas

The Coverse Multi Hi continues Converse’s foray in to everything that is cool and and can be done on a sneaker, making them superbly notheworthy.I want them.Available at Karmaloop

At this point I don’t know if Converse can do anything wrong,their designs teams must be really busy…Sneaker design does not always need to be groundbreaking sometimes sleek, understated  and practical is enough.The fur lined converse All stars ,with a suede toe represent the perfect winter sneaker if there is such a thing.Available at Luisaviaroma

Although my metallic blue shoes were a hit last night, after a few hours of jumping around, I really did wish I had those on.Metallic Converse All Star Hi @ Colette, in blue and fushia also.

This whole trend of icnoic rock bands as a hot fashion graphic flew right by me and I didn’t even realize its existence until my vist to Magic in August. It still has me confused to be honest, but okay. Are people that fed up with rap music or is it just the yearning for days of hedonism gone by? Looking back with longing at the years when people were getting laid on the reg and folks got sloppy in bars rather than wrapped further tight in Starbucks? No idea, but I do think these Chucks riffing on sexy motherfather Jim Morrison are cute:
