Topshop Boutique: Emma Cook sandals

emma cook1 Topshop Boutique: Emma Cook sandals

As far as Topshop goes, The Boutique is probably the most interesting section, as the retailer tends to partner with edgy-er  labels like Mario Schwab, Preen , Johnathan Saunders and Emma Cook , the designer of these really interesting sandals, slightly  reminiscent of Prada’s fall ‘08.

Target x Anna Sui, Coming Soon

anna sui Target x Anna Sui, Coming Soon

I have always been a fan of designer partnerships with mass retailers,” Sui told WWD exclusively. “I think it is a great way to bring fashion to everyone. I love Go International and was intrigued with Target’s new take on designer partnerships. It’s a fresh approach. I was able to select a muse or source of creative inspiration to focus the collection around. It is an exciting challenge to try and interpret my aesthetic into a mass-produced product with a specific inspirational source as the focus.”via wwd

The last target collabo I lost it for was Proenza Schouler and really the rest has been a blur, I can’t keep up. Let’s see how this one goes. Although the Gossip Girl inspiration cited in the article worries me a bit. Regardless Anna Sui rocks! What’s the next  one ? Balmain for Gap ? Balenciaga for Topshop ? or Prada for H&M…

agata2 Agata Ruiz de la Prada Fall 09 at Miami Fashion Week

Miami Fashion Week  came and went without a lot of mention in the fashion press. What’s that about? One of the most featured shows   in world news outlets  was Agata Ruiz de la Prada’s very humorous Fall ‘09 presentation. Funny or not, that  clutch has my name all over it!

Shoe Lust: Prada Fall 2009

highnobette-prada f 09

What can I really say about these that they don’t already say for themselves? Ruffled fringe like leather pieces studded and in dainty pink, brilliant red, and  mustard yellow?? What’s not to love? I’m particularly obsessed with the pink color, something about the delicate girlie girl pink with all those studs and the mixture of velvet has got me drooling. I spotted these on the Prada Fall 2009 runway which featured a number of accessories worth stalking.

Prada s/s 09 …The Shoes!

prada Prada s/s 09 ...The Shoes!

Miucca Prada and her team of geniuses have again blown the fashion world away with a collection that is, in the Prada tradition ,unexpected, modern and  to me overtly sexy.A term that does not  always apply to the collections is certainly present this season with backless cropped sweaters, and  the disheveled wrinkled look of the morning after walk of shame.I liked the clothes, loved the skirts, but the Shoes! the Shoes! Accessorized with footsies   add a fun unexpected detail to the looks,Prada does what they do best.Great  works of leather that leave us lusting and make the footwear knockoff makers run to their factories and copy, copy, copy.

I loved what Sarah Mower the Style reporter had to say:

"There was something fabulously Italian about all this shameless reveling in femininity. The fifties overtones, with the high chignons, the ruched bras, and swishing rear-action in the below-knee pencil skirts managed to channel the heyday of Cinecitta without cliché. Best of all, this is a collection destined to look even better on a woman with a real body than it does on a teen model. And that, Mrs. Prada surely knows, really is "what counts."

Fly Girl @ Fila Party: She’s Got the Look!

05 September 2008, 16.29 | Posted in Accessories, Fashion, Shoes | No comments »

The Fila party was pretty much dominated by sneaker dudes, but there were a handful of women there, too. One in particular caught my eye. She’s the kind I envy ’cause she’s completely pulled together with every detail perfect, from her hair right down to her pedicure. FilaStylishFem1a Fly Girl @ Fila Party: Shes Got the Look!

Some  footwear silhouettes dissapear  like the  square toes,Prada did in the nineties, others keep resurfacing year after year.As much as the round toe was pushed the pointy- toed boot seems always relevant as well as flattering.Chloe really Rocked this Fall !
