A few days ago we were showing you the extravagant ‘Hola-Hoop’ bag from Chanels Spring/Summer 2013 collection presented last week in Paris. The overall feedback was quite positive allthough nobody really knew how to use of the bulky handbag. Maestro Karl Lagerfeld himself now has the answer for you:

“You need space for the beach towel. Then you can put it into the sand and hang things on it.”

We wrote about the making of the Solange Knowles video for the song “Losing You” and now we have the finished product.  Filmed in South Africa, it is a surprisingly sweet song about lost love. Give a listen and see if it doesnt somehow it reminds of vintage Madonna…and something else which is so darn familiar and yet I cannot name it but it’s 80s new wave, that much I know! [UPDATE: Okay so it's produced by Blood Orange's Devonte Hyndes which explains the 80s synth sound, which also shows up in his song "Champagne Coast."]

As for style, it is of course off-the-charts G.O.R.G.E.O.U.S., the people, the fashion, the lovingly shot local scene shots, it’s a stunner flat out (Note to SGP: you are gonna DIE over the menswear). And then there’s the added fun of watching Solanges dance moves and seeing the connection between her and her older sister. By the end, like me, you may find yourself utterly charmed by La Hermana and rooting for her to win.

After showing during London Fashion Week, a video of Tom Ford’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection relaesed today. It’s the first time that images of his collection appear in the web as the release of imagery for his past seasons collections has been restricted. The video comes in a preppy 60’s look featuring cocktail dresses and pencil skirts in candy color and glossy black. Watch the video here above!

The much anticipated campaign video for H&M featuring Lana del Rey released today. The video is paying homage to David Lynch and his 50’s cult movie ‘Blue Velvet’ with Lana performing the song of the same title. The set is a very Lynch-like derelict room with dubious characters that appear one after another. Watch the full two minute campaign video here above.

We showed you first images of the H&M camaign featuring Lana del Rey a few weeks ago. Today, we can present a first snippet of the camaign video with Lana covering Bobby Vinton’s song ‘Blue Velvet’, better known from the correspondent David Lynch cult movie. Lana is filmed singing to a room full of Lana Del Rey clones with matching bouffant hair and beige dresses.The official premiere of the campaign video is set for September 20. We will keep you posted.

Google is trying to set a new trend by asking influencers from different fileds to wear special google glasses for one day so that the viewer can see through the eyes of a person and expirience very close what a day in the life of xxx looks like. For NYFW Spring 2013 it is designer Diane von Furstenberg and some of the stylists and models who put on the glasses to offer us unique images from a very new perspective. Check out the video just below.

Check out the Balenciaga Resort 2013 collection by watching this fashion video shot by Steven Meisel for House and Holmes. Pastel colors, clean lines, pale models and cement walls give the video a very cold feel. Halfway through, the models get very intimate with each other creating a nice contrast to the rest of the video and providing it an extra kick!

Have a a look at a still above from 7 For All Mankind’s video presentation for Autumn 2012, titled “Flowers for the Risen,” as directed, edited and photo directed by James Franco, who has had an ongoing creative partnership with the brand. The first of a series of shorts, the video has a surrealistic Gothic feel and  features the beautiful Lily Donaldson, plus actress Cody Horn and Lou Doillon. The backing song for this first episode, “Lady,” comes courtesy of the Chromatics.

Lady Dior icon Marion Cotillard stars in a new web documentary series for the French luxury brand. In seven episodes the documentary gives exclusive insights into the Dior universe, showing iconic codes of the house and peeks at the ateliers. A new episode will be published every two weeks through December on Diormag.

A new video with Chloe Sevigny, showing some of her favorite goodies from her collaborative collection swith Opening Ceremony. The selection includes outfits that are all available in the London Pop-up store as well as online. An inset splitscreen and saturated hues give the video a voyeuristic 90s look, but in the end it turns out that of course the video was shot professionally by William Strobeck. Soundtrack comes from Colony Farm. Well done!
