As I mentioned yesterday I am in Vegas at the Magic show. Yesterday I visited the Pool portion of the show, which is dominated by young, indie brands. Jeffrey Campbell doesn’t fit that mold but somehow the free-flowing energy of the space does suit it. In this image you’re getting a look at JC’s most popular shoe at the moment, the “Lita,” and you’re seeing it in a colorway that as of now hasn’t been revealed to the world! It’s being modeled by adorable JC rep, Bridgette, who told me she has a blog called Fashionlikeheroin, where she often gives sneak peeks of upcoming product. See more looks of Bridgette’s outfit on the next page, plus JC’s button-making table, and stay tuned on where you will be able to buy this shade later in the fall.

Blogger buddies MISS attended the ASR trade show and liked what they saw at the Roxy booth, giving the denim shorts shown here top grades. I like ‘em, too! Visit MISS for more ASR coverage. In the meantime, I’m typing this on my annoying laptop from the Vdara hotel (view is amazing!) in Vegas. I’m about to head to Magic so stay tuned for updates on what I see later.

Translating as faithful and loyal in Spanish Fiel , the shoe brand made their fame designing the kind of flip flops you pretty much want to live in.We would call it the perfect city flip flop. For spring 2011 the young brand continues their foray into footwear with a collection inspired by Mexican folklore and exotic travel. Incredibly soft leather designed and made in California. Peek at our Compass finds on the flip.

We attended N.Y. trade show Compass last week and took a few images at Kathryn Amberleigh, whose use of colored suede has made her one of our favorites. For Spring 2011 we see her trademark sleek silhouettes, kitten heels, stilettos and the introduction of an imposing light wood wedge. A peek on the next page.

Great colors, thick heels and a slight nautical feel can describe B.Store’s shoe assortment for Spring 2011. We like A lot! Spotted at Capsule. More on the next page.

When attending the trade shows, I always intend to take candids of the fashionable folks strolling the floors, but you’d be surprised if you haven’t been to the shows because it’s not always easy to find photo-worthy walkers! For a lot of attendees, it’s a work event and they’re wearing comfy (read: b-o-r-i-n-g) footwear. The one exception was New York’s Coterie. That crowd was much more dressed up, but then again the labels that show there are higher end and the crowd is older. Alas, I forgot my camera that day. The image above was worn by a LAMB rep at the Project show in Vegas. After the flip some candids of Chloe boots, Jeffrey Campbell wedges and and a couple of other cute styles spotted at Magic (also held in Vegas), Project and Compass (in New York).

As always I stopped by Magic’s Pool show to check in with one of my industry faves, Tokidoki Designer, Simone Legno. He had a lot going on but was most excited about an upcoming collaboration with Sephora on a comsmetics line, which will feature a huge array of eye liners, eye shadows, bronzers and brushes. The colors are amazing, as you can see from some of the very uniquely packaged eye shadows featured above.
More eye shadow, packaged in a lucite box with a Tokidoki toy, plus bronzer after the flip.

When it comes to authenticity and heritage, not too many brands have it over the 180-year old Woolrich. I’ve had this eye on this brand for a while so how delightful was it to see it’s offering a capsule collection collection for women, featuring the brand’s signature classic looks spruced up with jazzy cuts and fur trims. In celebration of its anniversary, there will be a total of 180 pieces manufactured and only 60 will be sold in the United. No word yet on where they will retail.
More pieces from the collection after the flip.

Cotton totes aint nothing new, but I love how Es N Yaa update the look with Ghanian fabrics, which, according to co-designer Esther, have limited production runs. In other words, once the fabric is exhausted, that’s it, nada mas! So the chances of spotting another woman sporting a bag just like yours (which, you know I love LV all day, but how many LV Speedy bags did you spot today?) is very, very small.

At Magic there’s a section of the show called “Cash & Carry,” where vendors can set up shop and sell their products. That’s where I spied Tawapa’s alluring earring and necklace offerings. The company started out with a focus on men’s piercing accessories, but lately has been branching out into women’s. I loved these earrings and necklaces because they speak to the current feather trend, but the bone, fossilized ivory and horn materials make them more bad-ass than hippie-ass. And the detail on them is amazing.
Lots more images after the flip.
