We had the opportunity to visit Strange Invisible Perfumes at Element Showcase this week and found ourselves enamored with the simplicity and refinement of their  concept. Founded by Alexandra Balahoutis,  each scent is made of certified organic botanicals. Devoid or animal products (hence vegan!) or artificial components, the scents have a depth that I previous only thought would be attainable with some animal musk , thankfully that is not the case. Our favorites include “Fire &Cream,” “Dimanche,” and the newly launched collection of Zodiac scents (above).  For more info visit  here.

Spring 2012 brings tropical prints to Osborn Design’s signature oxford silhouette as well as ballerinas, and slip-ons. A peek of what we spotted at  Capsule on the flip.

These cute shorts stopped me in my tracks at Capsule last week. On a closer look,  the Spring Collection of New York based Bedford Street Laundry is one I for one want in its entirety. There is something sporty about that heather grey that just works every time. A peek on the flip at a hooded dress and fly girl jacket. Definitely Snobette approved.

Visits to Capsule always include a visit to Moon Spoon Saloon’s booth and a chat with the charming Maria, who exemplifies the fun spirit of the brand. As usual the line features eye-catching pieces in a wide range of funky silhouettes and hues. This season the purple, aqua and black pieces were a favorite. On the next page a little peek at the collection for Spring 2012, and  some leather jogging pants that yours truly would happily rock.

This skirt by Ezra+ Tuba stopped us  in our tracks while we were checking out th4e Rendez-Vous trade show in New York, earlier this week. Worn with a simple tee and sandals this is a leather skirt to have (at least in our humble opinion). Created in  Instanbul by  sisters Ezra  and Çetin Tuba  the line exemplifies womanly glamour  at its best, even reflected in the lovely team of ladies representing the brand clad in heels, keeping the fierce until the end of the show.

On the next page take  a closer look at some more eye-catching pieces by Ezra +Tuba, with some of them featuring traditional silver wire Turkish embroidery. Enjoy!

One of our faves designers Mriga Kapadiya and Amrit Kumar’s Nor Black Nor White label features their signature use of handwoven fabrics with rich colors and the introduction of silk fringed  separates that have us swooning.  Twoin is a new collection by New-York based twin designers Iku and Nori. For Spring/Summer  2012 the twin’s playful approach to clothing blends  nautical details with army navy surplus and prairie flowers.
