A Bathing Ape shows us its lookbook for Autumn 2012, and it’s cute enough though I’m not sure the brand is chasing U.S. business if only because in my many visits to various and sundry female fashion sites it rarely if at all garners mention. Part of the issue is that it’s very much a male-identified brand to the point I had to constrain myself from using “women” in the headline to describe it (obvs, we’re a women’s fashion site after all).

Always one of HighSnobette’s favorites, a visit to see what Joyrich is cooking up is a must-do at Project. On this page you see a view of one the brand’s candy-colored motorcycle jackets for Spring 2013. On the next page, a collaborative effort with Gerlan Jeans on a line of bright and fun plastic backpacks, plus an amazing, jewel-covered dress, done in partnership with super socialite and  Japanese DJ and ironic socialite, Mademoiselle Yulia.

Y’OH founder and designer Kara Messina ends her Miadidas video with a shout out out to “all the sisters who are stepping up.”  As part of Adidas’s London-based customization crew, Messina is shown above discussing the inspiration behind the Adidas boxing kicks she customized in tribute to the first-time addition of female boxers to the recently-completed London Olympics.  HighSnobette was excited to quiz Messina about her views on design:

For a limited capsule collection, Stussy Womens teams up with Love Made. The video for the collection, produced by Tiger Tiger, was shot in Downtown L.A. and represents the urban lifstyle that will also reflect in the collection. “Heartbeat City” will launch on August 15. We will keep you posted!

Married to the M.O.B. launches a second set of tees for Summer 2012, with a collection that includes a “jets” collaboration with New Orleans rap artist Curren$y Spitta. Graphic themes include Sex Pistols, pot leaves, ribbons, dollar signs and a perennial favorite, the most-official green shamrock, as shown above. All now availabe for purchase in the M.O.B. online shop.

London menswear label Sibling makes its runway debut with a Spring 2013 collection that features a footwear collaboration with Underground England, which opens its flagship London store today. Yes, it’s menswear but the minimalist active look is pretty much perfect for now irregardless of gender.

And on a related sidenote, I’m getting the feeling from looking at this collection among other things popping up that we’re starting to see a return to white sneakers….which would be interesting.

As part of its international White Space Project, Adidas tapped Taiwanese artist Bubujojo to create custom Originals outfits for dolls from her Blythe collection.  The entire project can be seen here. See a couple more on the next page.
