We always talk about our appreciation of menswear. While  looking for a female who nails the look, we found The Rake’s fashion editor, Esther Quek on La garconne and Citizen couture.  Fierce.

The Hundreds is a about to launch the above bikini featuring the brand’s ticking time bomb logo. Find it starting June 16th at Hundreds stores and then next week at authorized retailers.

Hellz has collaborated with handbag line Mata Hari on a Spring collection that includes three silhouettes, a bucket bag with cone studs, a quilted clutch wallet with a studded, detachable glove and a bondage-inspired satchel. The collection launches in May and will be available at select retailers for three days only. The crew at Hellz was taking preorders, which included a discount, but apparently hit capacity before the deadline! Keep a close eye on the Hellz site to see when you can try again in May. The lovely Ms. Claw Money is now retailing her Spring/Summer 2011 collection of tees, and this time around it’s inspired by easy-breezy beach life, capitalizing on the brand’s laid-back and cool personality. And the claw logo, of course the claw. Claw shot this lookbook, upping the fun ante by posing the model, Lina, against computer-generated backdrops. Because honestly, as close as the beach is to us New Yorkers, how often do we actually get our feet on sand in the summer?? More on the next page.

Rye Rye resurrects her 2008 single with Count & Sinden, “Hardcore Girls,” with an official video made in collaboration with L.A.-based fashion company, DimePiece. Directed by Liza Minou Morberg, it features baseball bats, pitbulls and lots of bad-ass ladies, sporting fashion by DimePiece.

Those super fun Jeremy Scott “I Love NY” trashbag dresses that were featured on his Spring 2011 runway are now selling at Colette. It looks like retail version has a lining versus the runway dress, which was see-through. Click through to see the runway image on the next page.

As bloggers are rising to what can be considered fame, in these parts due to our love of style, individual expression, we had to snap  a picture of Mademoiselle Susie Bubble, camera in hand at the Rachel Antonoff presentation this past week (images coming soon). As one fashion insider said “She understands the art of fashion.” The creativity, the glamour and the history that had us fall for fashion in the first place.

As brands are scrambling to get on the blogger train, sadly we find very few who get it and even sadder big companies are handing part of their exposure and heritage to many who might not even know who Lanvin was  had it not been for Alber Elbaz’s celebrity  affinity status. The beautiful thing though is that with time, the passionate just seamlessly leave the opportunists behind and hopefully Susie Lau will be  one of the select few we hope to see and hear about for a very long time. Lady Gaga is snapped by Terry Richardson for Purple magazine. She’s rocking a white bodysuit and Hermes bag tagged with the Supreme label–have no idea what that’s about and Hermes collaborating with Supreme seems highly unlikely, but ya never know!
