We have to give propers to Vans, who lately seem to be making all the right moves when it comes to the ladies. Up until now the focus has largely been great collaborations on shoes, but we’re loving the latest endeavor–for a select group of women, a Milan style night, which will include image consultants plus the very awesome Wah Nails to provide manicures. We assume Wah is responsible for the design shown in the above poster, which, luv the drips over the trademark Vans checker board! Via Shedonism.

These Vans Hadley Lo kicks were customized with studs and other details by Medievel just for Hellz head designer, Lanie Alabanza. Post-makeover, the shoes have been deemed “Fvckboutin” (inspired obvs to some degree by Louboutins’s studded sneakers)  and they are about as sick as a shoe can be.

Adidas like most athletic shoe brands is getting in on the lightweight action and is previewing some women’s product whose overall theme is sleekness. The checkered shoe featured on this page is an Adi Court Mid, reincarnated as a super cute lifetstyle shoe. On the next page, some classic basketball, running and lifestyle shoes get the same treatment. Expect the kicks featured here and on the next page to drop in mid-July at Adidas.

It’s not the best image but hey, we’re not going to NOT post images of the very first Alexander Wang sneakers. And truthfully, we feel like we or someone of our ilk should have been the ones to get these first, but nope, we had to spot them on Elle. Darn Alex, and we heard you had love for the sneaker blogs, too. Que pasa?

We’re always happy to see sneakers and clothes by the powerhouse brands like Nike and Adidas made for the ladies, but raise your hand  if you feel like us females are just a side thought for the most part. Like once in a while they toss us a bone just cuz they sort of have to. It’s sad because the potential for them to do amazing things for women is beyond sky high, it’s planetary! Via Sneakerfreaker.

Looks like there are more canvass sneaker styles to come from the Converse collaboration with Finnish design house Marimekko, and this one includes “the most famous Marimekko Marimekko print of all time, the Unikko [poppy] design, originally from 1964 by Maija Isola, to which her daughter Kristina Isola has created a new coloring and scale for the Converse shoes.” Look for this to hit retail June 23rd. That Stussy collaboration with Ked we were drooling over is now at retail. The toe is tapered and it features a espadrille-inspired rope wrap around the bottom. Priced at $63, it also comes in white.
