In a clever marketing effort around Chanel No. 5 perfume, the French luxury label branded the exterior of one of the trolleys for which San Francisco is famous with the scent’s imagery and converted the interior into an exhibit space. Editor Gabriella Davi-Khorasanee of Lachanelphile took the above image and wrote about her experience touring the exhibit. You can find more images and details of what she discovered here.

Check out Lady Gaga in the official trailer for her upcoming perfume called Fame. The ad is directed by Steven Klein, known for a futuristic and sexy aesthetic, which in this campaign works to separate Gaga from the typical look of most perfume campaigns.  On the ad, Gaga said to Vogue:

“We thought, Let’s just make the most epic fragrance campaign of all time and let’s not care at all about whether they can even print it or show it on TV. Let’s just do everything we ever dreamed of. We basically did this purely for the pleasure of working together. We were just sort of sitting in the corner going, I can’t believe they are letting us do this!”

Fame will hit U.S.  retail doors on Wednesday.

Gucci premieres its Premiere fragrance campaign featuring Blake Lively. She looks amazing we must say, and certainly the Europeans designers seem to adore her, but at some point soon we’d like to see her beef up her work resume a bit, needed if she wants her “pretty face” work to have some legs.

As part of the Lady Gaga ad campaign for her perfume “Fame,” Gaga tweeted a short film about the making of the fragrance. Like the promo photo for scent, the black-and-white short features half-naked men. Titled ”Formulation,” the French-language short opens in the Haus Laboratories in Paris, before revealing the production of the fragrance. The scent will be available in September.

As a  multi-sensory experience Joya Studio combined the launch of its “Âmes Sœurs” perfume with the words of writer M.J Rose from The Book of Lost Fragrances and the taste of   rose water  lapsang souchong chocolate truffles by Dennison Lee.  Âmes Sœurs (translation: soul mates) creates in a scent a sense of  of intimacy and softness that can only be experienced at close proximity. Citrusy at first the Rayda Vega designed solid perfume  sold in  a porcelain and 22Kt gold container,  later reveals hints of  and musk and incense like a gentle whisper.
