Editors for XXL visit radio station Hot 97 and explain some of the more controversial feedback resulting from the artists chosen for the magazines recent “Freshman 10″ cover. It’s been documented that Harlem rap artist ASAP Rocky opted out, but the Hot 97 DJs make the valid argument that it shouldn’t have been his choice and thus would have worked better as an article rather than a cover story. The editors also explain that Iggy Azalea–probably the most controversial of the 10 chosen, gained her spot through a reader vote.
