A sneak peek of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover, featuring Russian model Irina Shayk. Soccer fans may also know her as the girlfriend of Cristiano Ronaldo.  What you’re seeing here is a billboard that will be used in conjunction with the big reveal on David Letterman tonight.

Is it that time already for Sports Illustrated’s “Swimsuit Issue”? As usual, SI is very mums the word on who is getting the cover, but it has released this promo photo featuring the very delectable Brooklyn Decker, who landed the cover in 2010, and whose rack, obvs, is just flat out ridiculous! The issue goes on sale February 15th.

Kim Kardashian is on the cover of March Bazaar magazine, a place where her outsized personality and look really seems to flourish. In a fun match up of vavoomy brunettes, Kardashian interviews Elizabeth Taylor as part of her feature. See Kim as “Kleopatra” on the next page.

Vogue in other countries seems to always get it right. Not to diss American fashion or creativity but there seems to be a deliberate lack of awareness in some of the editorial choices made by many publications that honestly leave us baffled. This is not even about the inclusion of more black models but about the  adequate representation of a country known for its diversity.  We understand the aesthetic choices of a Vanessa Beecroft art piece for example, but is fashion not for all? Fortunately the Snobette universe reads  more like a multi cultural  United Colors Benetton ad from the 80s, and we would not have it any other way. Fashion magazine Bazaar has compiled its best magazine covers and put them in a hybrid book/magazine called “Bookazine.” Priced at $12.95, the issue includes “iconic covers from 1867 to 2011.” According to press, it will be available for purchase at Barnes & Noble, starting tomorrow.

Actress Rooney Mara is featured on the February cover of W magazine and she’s wearing accessories made by one of our very big faves, designer Jules Kim of Bijules. One more image with her rings after the flip. Jean Baptiste Mondino photographed this lovely image and the brilliant styling choices were made by Trish Summerville.

The other Gossip Girl, Leighton Meester, lands the cover of Nylon’s February issue, which hits stands today.

For all you Black Swan fan lovers who come to the film via its association with Rodarte, you can now buy a souvenir tee shirt done in collaboration with Lula magazine. Whether it’s capable of soothing the anger over the Mulleavy sisters being double snubbed for their contributions to the movie is quote another story.Via Colette.
