The June 2012 issue of the illustrious Paper magazine features Azealia Banks, rocking playful sexy looks she opens up about music success and what it takes to make in the business:

“The music industry is like a machine,” she says. “It’s always going, and this new generation of artists — me, A$AP Rocky, Rita Ora — we’re the fuel that’s keeping it going. And once you get in that machine you’ve gotta run with it. There’s a crazy inertia that’s been going for years and years and years, and it’s not gonna stop for you, so you’ve gotta keep fucking working. The minute you stop working, that’s when you get stuck in the gears. And that’s when it grinds you up and spits you out.” But doesn’t that constant work leave zero time for normal-person stuff? “That’s what you give up when you sign that contract,” Banks replies. “This hustle and bustle becomes your normal-person shit.”

In my mind the image chosen for the cover should showcase the magazine’s best photo that month. And while lately I tend to favor the work being done by the Russians, Vogue Germany is another book that tends to have great, visually stunning covers. For June, American girl Carolyn Murphy is featured on the cover werking a tangerine swimsuit with milkmaid braids shaped  into rings big enough for chihuahuas to jump through. And do you see that cute lil’ tattoo on her upper thigh? What is that, a tiger?

Russian girl Natalia poses for the hometown Vogue. The results are interesting. Normally this book goes for over-the-top style, but for homeslice they went laid back and natural.
