Yesterday, we attended the 6th annual Loving day celebration in New York commemorating the ruling of   Loving vs. Virginia 1967   that officially legalized interracial marriage. For their weekly ‘Battle‘ The designers at B-Side are launching  the Loving Day  Bangle to commemorate this milestone of history. For info on Loving Day check out www.lovingday.org. This week-end we attended  Stoked on Spring 2009 , a benefit for the very cool and very  necessary  Stoked organisation co-founded by Steve Larosiliere that provides mentorship to  teens through action sports. The coolest thing about Stoked  is that, unlike what we previously thought you don’t have to be an action sports buff to be a mentor.The mentor and mentee get to learn together and therefore learn from each other. We were also impressed by the immense generosity of the artists who donated an large amount of  pieces to this great cause.
