A cinematic interpretation of the world’s largest round table gathering, Problema is a visually imaginative, thought-provoking invitation to a world of global dilemmas. Spanning seventeen questions confronting who we are and where we’re going, the film follows the insights, perceptions, reflections and views of over 100 people from more than 50 nations sat together in one circle.

We stumbled on this marvelous boutique while strolling in Sag harbor this past weeek-end and had to share it with you. Based on the concept of holistic living, WellNest, a newly-opened store, features in-house wellness products by Dr. Richard Ash, cold pressed juices by Organic Avenue (too delicious for words) , eco-friendly house wares and, Le Labo fragrances and accessories! We could not stop fiending over October Anniversary chunky rings, Catherine Michiels bracelets, lovely frames by Urban Spectacles and many more other eco conscious brands. The setting is modern, minimal, rustic and cozy at the same time, and once you walk in, you find it very hard to leave… On the next page a few images by Racked that are much better than the ones we took.

Loving Samia Malik’s commitment to make apparel with meaning while creating what I consider to be modern symbols. Here’s what she had to say about her latest collection titled “No Systems” :
We’re surrounded in environments, with many type of systems: culture, traditional, political, consumer, jobs etc. All these systems take over soul purpose of our existence, and ultimate question is how important are these systems for our survival, or are these systems here to destroy us. T shirt line is based on breaking free from: rhetorical and mediocre systems. I continued story of geometric shapes and structures, putting together different angles, to represent unbalanced energies and collision of various energies. Continued colour story that always reflects physiological disruption.
In this special collaboration with Afghan Hands, A Peace Treaty assists women in need, as a result of conflict and economic desolation. The women participate in educational programs and training, as well as produced exquisitely hand-embroidered accessories.
Through the Afghan Hands project, 200 women and their children are enabled to gain security, independence, literacy, and livable wages throughout Kabul and Jalalabad. The pictures do not do justice to the amount of precision and detail these pieces exemplify. It’s like wearing art. The scarves bear the name of the women who made them. A closer look at Sozan Doz by A Peace Treaty on the next page. Now available!
