Pick Of The Day: Pizza Hut Fragrance

It all started out as a joke by Pizza Hut who asked its facebook fans “Do you love the smell of a box of Pizza Hut pizza being opened? We thought so. If that smell was a perfume, what would it be called?” The response to this question was so high (a month and a half later, Pizza Hut Canada had gotten 100,000 fans) that the chain’s community managers decided to go ahead and create the smell of fresh-made pizza for the first 100 people that commented on the post.

According to Grip Limited’s managing director, Adam Luck, the perfume will smell “like dough with a little bit of seasoning added.”

What do you think? Will the Pizza Hut scent make it and hit stores soon?

While confessing to know nothing about rugby other than it features amazing men, we were still nonetheless excited to discover in the WSJthis morning that All Black, New Zealand’s national rugby team will continue to perform the Maori war dance (see video above and weep) prior to the start of games. Apparently the right to perform was brought under question when descendants of the Maori looked to legally control song lyrics. But no, not true, a representative for the tribe recently stated that the tribe has always supported All Black’s performance and takes great pride in it even. And thank god for that!

‘Smiley’ Happy Therapy For The Monday Blues

A scent that can chemically change your mood by releasing “happy chemicals”, is the claim to fame of the Smiley Scent collection . Yours truly is extremely picky with scents, and for the most part if it hints too closely anything edible and has a starlet on it, I just can’t. Nonetheless the Smiley scents created by Ora -ïto and Arnau Bani are really pleasant. Not particularly feminine or masculine, the packaging imitates pharmaceuticals and laboratory containers making the whole concept modern and fresh and definitely not kitschy. Fashion’s Night Out

Last night we scoured the streets of Soho during fashion ’s night out, to see how the shopping festivity was was going to take place. The always buzzing neighborhood of Soho was filled with pedestrians going from store to store enjoying various events, food , drinks and music. Levis & Costume National were jamming!

As the shopping night seemed to have been successful for big brands and retailers who aggressively advertised to pull crowds into their stores. Independent designers and boutiques we visited experienced a slight increase in traffic but pretty much no sales. One handsome boutique owner even compared the night to ‘halloween for fashion” an interesting analogy when I for one was looking forward to see a plethora of decked out individuals perusing the street but I was left underwhelmed. Nonetheless duo above , too fabulous for words, allowed me to have my first Garance/Tommy Ton moment . Next page for a closer look at FNO in Soho.
