James Franco just released the trailer for The Director, a Gucci documentation that centres on Gucci creative director Fridi Giannini. For the movie, James Franco and team followed Frida over a period of 18 months and therefore offers a more than extraordinary insight into the Gucci empire. The movie already premiered on April 21 during the Tribeca Film festival.

Reed Krakoff presents it’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection with a mystical campaign film produced under the creative direction of Reed Krakoff and art  direction by Ray Ferraro starring Laetitia Casta.

“Laetitia is the ideal reflection of the Reed Krakoff woman: modern and intelligent with a poetic sensuality,” Krakoff said. “Her confidence is both strong and feminine. I wanted to shoot in a space with natural light and little aesthetic distraction, one that would allow Laetitia’s complex and engaging beauty.”

The campaign will be unveiled internationally in March issues of fashion and lifestyle books. Enjoy!

Kate Upton Stars In Vogue Germany’s Fashion Film ‘It Had To Be You’

We shared the Vogue UK cover for January starring Kate Upton last week. Now we learn that Miss Upton also is the star in a fashion film for the German edition of the fashion magazine as directed by Bruce Weber and showing the blond and blue-eyed model in the typical American style of the ’50s.

Nice work, but in my opinion Vogue is attempting to position her as the new Marilyn Monroe, which makes sense in a way, but do we really need yet another copy?

For its Resort 2013 collection, DSquared2 taps Cara Delevingne for a 90’s inspired short film. While the model plays herself she gets a mysterious call from a stalker. We don’t know how the story ends, instead we see a foolish Cara presenting the collection next to a phone box to the music of “Scream Miami” remixed by Stefano Riva.

Juicy Couture just launched a short film titled ‘California Dreaming’ to promote its holiday collection. Starring Candice Swanepoel and directed by Terry Richardson (also co-starring) at the setting of Chateau Marmont, the top model presents pieces from the actual collection packed in a L.A. typical ‘Girls-just-wanna-have-fun’ story.

As part of the brands new digital and social media strategy, the film includes links of the apparel and accesories of Juicy Couture, so that they can directly be shopped while watching it. With the hashtag #givemewhatiwant Juicy adopts this new media strategy to engage its customers in a two way dialogue.

After showing you the first stills from the film, we now present the official Louis Vuitton “L’invitation Au Voyage” film. The film guides us through the Louvre where the main character as played by Arizona Muse passes by the Mona Lisa and other Italian masters before getting to a Louis Vuitton trunk where she retrieves an envelope containing top secret info. With the envelope in her possession, she leaves for the Cour Carré where an air balloon whisks her away to a far-off destination. The film was directed by Inez and Vinoodh. Watch it above!

 First Look:  Louis Vuittons Arizona Muse Film
The official premier for the Louis Vuitton’s multimedia campaign film titled ‘L’invitation au voyage’ is set for November 12. Just a few days before the film releases, a number of stills have make their way through the web. Shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin at the Louvre in Paris this September, the images show the brands art of travel concept to print, digital, and film.
