HOON presents its Autumn/Winter 2013 lookbook showcasing a lot of leather and denim which makes the collection really set the tone for the release. The careful attention to the stitching throughout the collection, give off a strong a silhouette.

Back in November the 29-year-old designer was named creative director of Balenciaga and replaced Nicolas Ghesquière whose contribution to the fashion  house made  it what it  is today. There were many discussions surrounding his suitability for the role,  and whether he would be able to keep in step with the labels aesthetic. What he showed this morning at his runway debut for Balenciaga was impressive and not only proved himself to be ready for couture but also satisfied everyone attending the show.

Anna Wintour even said:

“I am very proud. It was such a restrained show. I thought everything was wearable, with obviously lots of bows to Balenciaga himself. I thought it was a very smart way to start, bu not giving too many fireworks.”

Tilda Swinton, who just appeared in David Bowie’s latest music video, now got the official face of Chanel’s Metiers d’art Paris Collection. Mister Karl Lagerfeld chose the actress, because she “perfectly embodies the Paris Edimbourg collection. She is of course Scottish, but more than that she is a modern woman, a timeless icon of elegance.”

The ad’s of the Paris Edimbourg collection will start appearing in May 2013 pubications.

One of my favorite brands C’N’C Costume National enlists sister of Liv Tyler, the incredible Chelsea Tyler, to star in their Spring 2013 campaign. Photographed by Charlie Engman the campaign showcases the brand’s signature military chic and minimal aesthetics in a setting that blurs the line between a dreamland and reality. A.P.C. and Vanessa Seward met through their mutual admiration for each other’s designs and teamed up for a a first collection in 2012. Now the second collection of Vanessa Seward and A.P.C. released and the result -AGAIN- is a collaboration in the true sense, retaining the spirit of each designer. Clean and simple lines as well as the slightly 70s silhouettes have A.P.C. written all over it, while the choice of more couture-like fabrics, such as brocade and lurex and silk mousseline, is undoubtedly Seward’s doing. In other words, mission accomplished: the collaboration is truly a great marriage.

Reason clo013thing has been around since the ‘United Tradeshow’ days almost 10 years ago. The New York based brand now has a brick and mortar store stocked with rare vintage finds and brands like GunsGermsSteal, Sebago collaborations and more. On the next page take a closer look at their humorous slogan tees spotted at Project MVMNT.

Current Elliott, known for its unique denim cuts teamed up with queen of digital print, Mary Katrantzou. The result of this collab is a capsule collection of denim pieces printed with passport stamps, banknotes, postage stamps and graphic patterns in a palette of soft white, blue and pink.
