I forget which magazine I read…. that had a feature on the overkill trend of Leggings..and that’s pretty much all it is,like everything in mainstream fashion it will pass, once the magazines stop featuring them and the celebs are not photographed wearing them it will be over…
The thing is tough that any stylish HighSnobette knows that accessories are vital to add your "flava" to a look and to me trendy or not, there are pieces that are just smart to have, like the lace Stirrups.. above by Kovat&t available at Intermix. My pal Amy cringed at the idea of these resurfacing…here they are!
With the right outfit these could rock! and that, has been the "issue" with leggings is that they can be cool with and outfit but not as" the outfit."

Now that this new show, Compass, is in the mix, there’s gonna be a lot of brands that are going to have to decide where it’s best to show. The big dudes can afford to show in both if they please (though note that Converse chose to bypass WSA altogether), but smaller, budget-constrained designers often don’t have that kind of money ’cause trade shows aren’t cheap!.

^^The lovely, talented, smart and funny Ce Ce Chin, designer/owner for 80%20, showed at the WSA, but not one to missed out on the action, we caught her playing hooky and visiting her pals at Compass.

* Lee Cooper X Adriana Karembeu Stilletoes Fierce!
To celebrate its centennial anniversary, Lee Cooper came up with a fantastic, dream project, the Project 100.
It was the occasion for the British brand to collaborate with some of the world’s most respected designers, celebrities, sporting heroes and iconic brands including Giles Deacon, Jade Jagger, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Alain Mikli, Ora Ito, Linford Christie, Jean Claude Jitrois and Paco Rabane. Lee Cooper Project 100 gave birth to 100 eclectic and exclusive pieces that will be auctioned this autumn in Paris, the money being raised for the Red Cross

LaCoste was actually at WSA and Compass, but like a dummy, I didn’t visit the booth at Compass, where, I’m told by Lacoste p.r. champ Emalie Adcock, there were was lots of cool Vault stuff that wasn’t at the WSA. Oh well, the stuff at the WSA was still pretty great.

^^These bright-pink hightops were causing quite the ruckus in the booth. I had to wrestle them away from a sales rep and as soon as I was done shooting them he snatched them right back.
After the flip, see Amalie’s faves, as well as another pair of hightops and some sporty flats.
