We had the opportunity to visit the K*star studio this past week and give you a peek at what designer Keiko Hirosue has been working on. Innovative silhouettes with lots of color and a continual emphasis on making shoes that feel good. Discovered at Community54’s pop-up, RAP L.A is a clothing and accessories line filled with pop references and a sense of humour. Every piece makes a statement, no wonder the line  has designed costumes for Nicki Minaj. Between the “Makin’ Loot” bootie shorts (a Louis Vuittion simulation), “Holy Necklace,” “Lucky Charms” bracelets or the “Hoodrat” necklace, RAP L.A.  provides lots to talk about when it comes to perception, stereotypes and consumption. We were pleased to get a close-up view of  the Ti$a x Taz Arnold pop-up shop in the Lower East Side last night, at Community 54 and snapped a few shots of the gear and attendees. It was without a doubt a ”scene” with  long lines, lots of interesting looks, and of course sneakers galore. We even spotted a young woman in the Vashtie Jordans. More on the flip!
