Sneak Peek: Quicksilver Fall/Winter 2009

highsnobette-quicksilver f 09

Highsnobette was given a preview of what’s to come for Quicksilver’s women’s line for Fall/Winter 2009. I’m very excited about the re-vamping of Quicksilver and their focus on womenswear they are taking. A new blog is up with some amazing female bloggers and a new concept store has opened with an entire 800 square feet dedicated to all things girl. I’m most excited about the level of sophistication this new collection brings. It still has the carefree California beach girl appeal but by using fantastic materials and grown up silhouettes, Quicksilver manages to give it a maturity that makes it wearable during that pesky adult activity called work.  They showed some great outerwear pieces, accessories, and a lot of dresses. The standouts include a knee length button down denim dress and full length one piece jumpers in bold blue and raspberry red. The best part of the collection is that it’s 26% Eco-friendly and 3% of all sales go to an amazing charity the Ripple Project.

More after the jump.

Sneak Peek: Nau Fall 2009

highsnobette-sneak peek nau f 09

In a  fashion world that seems to be inundated with eco friendly lines that sacrifice fashion for the global economy, Nau is taking it to the absolute sustainable limit while keeping their pieces fresh and fashion forward. Focusing on super performance outerwear, each jacket is made completely out of post consumer waste and is built using a three layer construction without a single stitch. I was completely blown away when I heard that if your current garment  does start to fall apart you can send it back to them and they will recycle it into a new piece just for you. How cool is that??  Nau’s Fall ‘09 line will also feature plenty of other goodies including knit wear and accessories.

stellamadonna T.K. Maxx Stella McCartney T Shirt Collabo

T.K. Maxx partnered with Stella McCartney to create am exclusive line of Red Nose tees, featuring The Beatles, Morecambe & Wise and my fave, Madonna. Part of the money T.K. Maxx makes will go to an organization called Comic Relief, which helps people who need help. (Apparently this is all connected to some U.K.-based event called Red Nose Day, which takes place on March 13 and again is all about raising money to help people.)

Highsnobette, Olsenhaus Footwear

Olsenhaus, a vegan footwear company has mastered a look that walks the line between outrageous and classic. The colors are unexpected and the lines are simple…a classic pump in a paint splattered butter yellow? Yes please! My favorite is their bootie in an electric blue, and while my bank account definitely doesn’t approve of me buying yet another pair of shoes the vegan aspect is that feel good kick I needed to justify my spending.

Check out more from Olsenhaus after the jump.
