It’s always fascinating to hear opinions of fashion insiders about the street style phenomenon. Gone are the days where the fashion industry was a gated community for the chosen few,  but is that a bad thing? For the partisans of elitism bloggers tend to have a bad name, however the reality is that the web, digital cameras, and the culture of the multiple fashion interns,  have all contributed to open the doors of fashion to let some pretty amazing talent shine through that might not have the chance to do so otherwise. Garage magazine took on the task of documenting street style blogging outside the shows, and gives us a glimpse of a few fashion insiders opinions. Leandra Medine aka The Man Repeller has teamed up with Del Toro on a limited edition of the Prince Albert slipper. It is the second collaboration between the shoe brand and Medine who  continues to use humour as a theme for the loafers. While the first shoe featured flamingos Medine’s affectionate term for her followers), the current loafers feature a male and a female animated face on light denim. Lovely!

The limited edition “Del Toro x The Man Repeller” Goofy Face slippers are available from today on via Del Toro Shoes.

While in these parts we strive to foster  a climate of mutual support in the blogging community, some think otherwise as German Garment launches the “Nobody Reads Your Fucking Blog” tee. Fashion vlogger Taren Guy dedicates an episode to showcasing some of accessory designer Melody Ehsani’s big bold earrings. Hard to believe I am just now discovering the ultra-adorable Guy, who has been vlogging on Youtube as Taren916 for two years! (People, you gotta let us know!) According to a bio featured on beauty company Carol’s Daughter, she started out “dedicated to documenting her own natural hair journey,” and now covers the gamut in beauty and fashion trends.
