To celebrate their 20th anniversary DKNY teams up with Levis on collection of limited edition  denim styles. A wide leg,  Skinny silhouettes and the ever so popular boyfriend cut.  The rationale behind this collaboration puzzles me when DKNY has a   DKNY Jeans  label. Is this  a way to make their denim line more “credible” in the  world of Levis aficionados and denim purists ? Or did a consumer study show that DKNY denim wearers also wear Levis?  At  $225 a pop I’m not sold on this concept. Are you?

Here’s a quick look at the Fall 09 collection by Jeremy Scott for Adidas, part of the Originals by Originals series. Hopefully the Mickey Mouse Hi-tops from Scott’s  fall 09 will be included , as this collection seems to have a more colorful pop-culture feel than the previous one.

Italian  furniture design house Kartell partnered with the Normaluisa fashion label to create a series of rubber ballerina flats called” Glue Cinderella”. Designed  with injection molding technology, I  like the ventilation holes on the side that  help moisture to evaporate . Looks like jellies are here to stay, as more brands seem to venture in this category. Theshoes will be available at Kartell flagship  locations and select shops world wide.

No matter how many Converse sneaker versions I  see , there seems to always be a reason to fall for a new one. The 1 hund(red) Artist #80 by Lupe Fiasco, is of course a hit. Available at Converse.

Manish Arora A/W '09 via Elle UK

After his collaborations with Mac Cosmetics and Reebok, The very colorful Manish Arora will put his design stamp  on Swatch Watches. The designs  will be inspired by amar chitra katha comics, pop-art elements, swarovski crystals and dance mudras. The limited edition Swatch and  Manish Arora watches launch in April ‘09.

To celebrate women’s history month Diane Von Furstenberg  created the “Proud to be a Woman” items.10% of the sales will be donated to Vital Voices.

Betsey Johnson and Opening  Ceremony have partnered to launch Betsey Johnson Archive, a capsule collection of iconic pieces celebrating the label’s 30th anniversary. The 35 piece collection  will premiere during the Autumn/Winter 2009 season, Can’t wait !

The Onitsuka Tiger X Tokidoki collabo was as cute as always. The snow boots are a new addition to the line and they are an obvious must-have for Tokidoki lovers. The rest of the spring Onitsuka Tiger line was impressive as well, especially Onitsuka Tiger Mini Cooper collabo shoe, which impressively captures the zip and energy of the actual car.

(Though on another note, I swear any day now I’m gonna kick my camera’s ass. For some unknown reason we have never gotten along and I may just be going back to my older but much more dependable Canon.0
