The annual Best of The Best ( B.O.B.) South Asian dance competion kicked off last month with a flash mob in the middle of NYC. Enjoy a look at the video documenting the event to chase the monday blues…
Impressive, not only is Kate Upton bubbly, fun and drop.dead.gorgeous thanks in no small part to a perfect rack, she can also dance, I mean actually get down to the beat. The video is directed by Terry Richardson who manages to come off as not a drooling perv over her performance, an accomplishment in and of itself given that a) it’s him + b) how hot she is.
UPDATE: Youtube banned the video so Richardson reloaded it to Vimeo, shown above. Also, since posting this, I’ve learned the teeny tiny bikini she’s wearing in the video is the same one she wore for her Sports Illustrated cover.
Fashion, music, language, you name it, the culture of voguing is still the invisible heart of a significant portion of cultural phenoma today. This past summer I attended the GMHC 2011 Latex Ball, a one-night voguing performance extravaganza, and still have awe inspiring flashbacks I will never forget. And now, a 200 page historical photo book published by Soul Jazz Records that documents the culture from the inside out.
