Joyrich has teamed up with Keith Haring on a capsule collection of bikinis, which will launch in late Spring. The collaboration will include two patterns: “Men And Dogs” and “Stars And Stripes,” which you see on the next page.
Both items will be available from our friends at Karmaloop, which by the way, we’re told, is launching a monthly site-wide scavenger hunt. It’s called “Peep Show” and when you find the hidden item, send an email detailing what it is and a winner will be randomly picked from entrants. This month’s item is now up–check here for more details.

Our friends at U.K.-based WAH nails have created a nail art collection (painted by hand!), showcasing the prints featured on the Spring 2011 runways. And it’s a contest, too! The first one to email Wah-Nails at Nailsdone@WAH-Nails.com with all 18 designs correctly identified wins a prize. Slight catch–you have to go to WAH’s London location to collect. And don’t worry about me as competition, while I post these collections all.day.long, I’ve identified exactly ONE!

China Fashion Week is in progress, an event that includes the Eon Fashion Award, a makeup and styling contest. The hair and makeup is dazzling, clearly more the realm of the performance world than the runway (thus the contest aspect). Still, great for inspiration and check an image on the next page, which perhaps is making a statement or two on the Western world’s view of China as one big cash register. Via Zimbio.

I may struggle to walk in heels (sacrilege I know) but that doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate the immense beauty and appeal of the high heeled shoe. So I was excited to see Saks Fifth Avenue and Footwear News are teaming up to find the sexiest shoe of 2010. The competition runs from 16th September until the 18th October, with 23 pairs being selected, including the usual suspects–Christian Louboutin, Chanel, Jimmy Choo and Manolo Blahnik. You can vote in-store (NYC’s 10022 SHOE boutique on Saks Fifth Avenue’s 8th floor) where all 23 pairs are also available to buy. More info can be found at Saksfifthavenue. Photos from Refinery29. AK

Arrivals at CFDA were looking phenomenal. Across the board it was hard to find anyone who looked overly predictable or just flat-out wrong. Surely this is in large part because it’s a fashion event and many of the attendess are experts (designers, models, stylists), but perhaps we’re seeing signs of the design focal point moving away from shoes and shifting to dresses and accessories (specifically necklaces), making for a visually more compelling red carpet image. One can hope anyway. Dress length ranged from very short to trains, but white played against black and flowerful prints were two big color trends. Sheen was also a theme, as was relaxed fabrics. HighSnobette favorites included Allison Pill, Hana Soukupova, DVF and Lara Stone (but only because she is currently in the can-do-no-wrong category).
Many more looks after the flip.
