While we’re thinking of the beach in this close to 100-degree weather, we have to take the time to present you with what will be in store this fall. Jofama and Edwin have partnered to interpret one of the great  apparel classics, tinted with a spirit of rebellion and Americana,  the leather jacket. As a nod to aviation the ”Airwoman” bomber features a removable fur collar, luxurious red silk lining and vintage rivets.

One of the reasons why the Snobs adore independent designers and young labels is because they put it all out there fabulously. This “Sound of Rain Jacket” by the talented  Maldova-based Lirfons we cannot ignore. At first glance the look can be seen as conceptual but on closer inspection the thick activewear zipper and elastic cuff translates into a street sensibility with an avant-garde edge.

Painting the picture of the womem we imagine wearing–it ranges from Snobette style  faves Stella Tenneant, Tilda Swinton, Rihanna  to of course Melody Ehsani. The Schott Perfecto, dating back to 1928 needs no introduction. Just like our beloved Levi’s with Scott it’s about that timeless beyond trends piece of clothing  you wear forever and pretty much pass on to the next generation. Iconically cool, view  the women’s Spring colors in detail on the flip.

Perfect for those unpredicatble days when it’s chilly and then all of a sudden warm, the MM6  bomber jacket features a special construction detail that allows it to be worn with sexy shoulder openings. Available at MaisonMartin Margiela.

Totally smitten with Greg Lauren’s capsule collection of jackets made of re-purposed materials. The tail back style above is a fave. Each jacket is one of a kind,  juxtaposing weathered work wear and glamour, detailed images on the flip. Available at Barneys.

We had the opportunity to preview Eryn Brinie’s assortment for this upcoming fall, as you can see in our opinion outerwear was the star. On the next page a few of our favorites.

Totally smitten with the sternness of this Comme Des Garçons coat. Looking like it’s resting on the shoulders, it creates a very modern “Mob Don” or “Glamour Diva” look  we find   irresistible. Available at Ssense.

Specializing in country clothing and horse rugs, Lavenham, estblished in 1969, is a brand rooted in quality and craftmanship. Its quilted jackets hint of course to equstrian chic,  but I cannot help but think of what I used to call Upper East Side ladies who lunch of the nineties, whose look consisted of a string of pearls, a quilted jacket, cropped capris and Belgian loafers. While The Snobettes could easily fall for some of their jackets, an upgrade in the look book styling would greatly benefit what we see as a very well made piece  and covetable piece of clothing.
