The theme  for the MTV Movie awards this past Sunday had to be “ the  little dress” .Tinted with a sense of youth, playfulness and even simplicity. It’s like everyone looked their age . Leighton Meester, and Kristen Stewart’s were some of my favorites as they all had edge in their own way. At this point, we at Highsnobette , really believe that  Rihanna should  be on the cover of Vogue, not that  the magazine is the end  all be all , but we all know  that Vogue is an iconic publication . If  Blake Lively was able to score the honor, Rihanna deserves it equally, if not more. Having a great stylist is one thing, but being able to pull-off   high-end clothing  and street-wear  flawlessly requires a certain “‘je ne sais quoi”, and we think she has “it”. For their annual collection  of Fashion Against Aids tees, Designers Against Aids partners with H&M on a collection where 25% of the proceeds will be donated to  youth aids prevention programs. Rihanna was recently spotted in New York, and gave a shout to kick-loving-chicks everywhere with her hightop Nikes. She’s also sporting the Schott X Jeremy Scott “Perfecto” jacket, whose graphic was inspired by-obvs–the wondrous Keith Haring (r.i.p.).  Ma looks great as always, but I when I look at her ‘doo, I can’t help but think of that classic Cam Diaz hair kerfluffle from “Something about Mary”!

Apropos of nothing to do with fashion (except that we like Kate’s style), I spotted this polaroid photo of Katy and Trav smooching at the Life Ball, which took place a couple days back in Vienna. Didn’t those two split up? I guess they’re in one of those on-again-off-again-soul-wrenching relationships. Like my sis once said about crazy relationships, you don’t get off the ride until it’s over! Amen, hermana.

If anyone ever  wonders why RihRhi gets constant play on Highsnobette , it’s simple . After what Elle Uk, calls a Fashion-a-thon ( loved that at least  they noticed) RhiRhi finally  gets to relax in the  all time, round the way girl look that always works: A hoodie ,jeans and sneakers. Erykah Badu’s style choices are often interesting, but she totally heightened her game by wearing our beloved Manish Arora s/s ‘09 .
