The buckled boots above  in our minds stand out as the star. A combination of rugged, sexy glamorous–kind of like the scruffy 5 o’clock shadow  dude with a sharp suit. Luv! Christian Louboutin has linked up once again with Peter Lippman, this time on a series of photographic reenactments of iconic portraits, which feature shoes from the Autumn 2011 colletion. The one we’ve featured here is inspired by the painting ”Magdalene and the Flame,” by Georges de la Tour. We pulled this image from fashion blogger Susie Bubble, whose post includes the orginal painting, plus many more photo reencactments along with her thoughts on the effort so visit her site to get a fuller picture.

Keri Hilson for Instyle magazine is photographed sporting three of Summer 2011’s biggest trends: super-short denim shorts (in this case by Calvin Klein), long-oval nails and bicycles. On the second page, she hits a fourth, lace-up military boots….after that, there aren’t many left!
