Along with Timbs and Doc Martens, another mainstay of New York street fashion in the ’90s that are on the comeback trail are John Fluevog’s “7th Heaven Angel-Sole” boots. (’Member my ’90s Downtown babies? I know you do!) As part of their return, Fluevog is relaunching a limited series of rubber Angel-Soles, with two styles called “Michael” and “Derby Swirl.” Both are now available on Fluevog’s etail site.

In many ways the fact that we can walk around through  our lives carrying on various activities is it itself a blessing too often taken for granted.Call me weird but the idea of walking on glitter literally,  in my mind is like the celebration of every step taken in everyday life, Can’t say what Miuccia and her team thought of when coming up with this design but it surely inspired me . We first spotted Be&D’s stilleto-embossed sneakers on Cassie earlier this year, and of course visited the brand’s booth at Project. The popular canvas sneaker has been updated in new colors and shades, plus there are newly-launched rain boots, plus updated bag silhouettes and colors (see above–and ignore the wrong date stamp…working on that!)

Ugg Australia previewed their Autumn/Winter 2012 collection earlier this week at the Glasshouses with a performance by The Drums and a blogger-styled presentation. On the next page see what will be in store,  as well as some looks styled by various blogs including Twoinchcuffs and the capsule collection by Claw Money.

A sign of the times, fashion cycles and maybe the need for  Manolo Blahnik to play in the “it shoe” category we just spotted the 2002 suede and leather ankle Timberland-inspired boots at Saks.  Some reminders can be found in Jay Z and Beyonce’s ‘Bonnie and Clyde and in J.Lo’s “Jenny from the Block.”

The one update I can see e is the black ankle tab instead of a brown. The fashion geek in me me wants to camp a bit on the symbolism of this re-issue but  I’ll spare you a tirade.
