Loyal readers know that when we visit Magic, we always make a stop by the Tokidoki booth to chat with head designer Simone and see what’s up. One new thing is the brand’s switch from the Pool section of Magic to Slate, where a lot of streetwear brands are located. Simone and his team were definitely feeling good at this show, riding high from the very successful launch of the Tokidoki makeup line launch at Sephora (updates on that in an upcoming post). The other big news is the relaunch of the bag line, which gave Simone an opportunity to work with a wider variety of details and materials, which he was super happy about. This collection is called “Bite Me” and as you can see from the image it has a vampire theme. Super fun! See many more bags on the next page.

The Alexander Wang accessories phenomenon is alive and well as this young label has been able to capture the elements of the most wanted in fashion that is usually seen in brands with a much longer history. If we go down the history of “it” bags on a global scale, I cannot think of one independent high end accessories label that has achieved such rapid commercial appeal as Wang. The closest I can come to would be Kate Spade’s nylon totes in the 90s ? View the flawless “Marcy” hobo on the next page, via Oak.

Colette has added a bunch of new items from the very mean and vicious Fleet Ilya. This saddle clutch stands out. Bold and unapologetic, you know the women who walks into the room with clutch means serious, grown-woman business.

Hungarian-born and French-trained designer Dori Abodi is new on my radar, registering thanks to this clutch spotted at PostFashionism. Her Fall/Winter collection was inspired by David Bowie, and she describes it as “shiny, glam-rock, edgy, fresh, funny, cartoon-like.” Sounds interesting, no? See the entire collection at her site.

In step with the move away from overly constructed bags, Hermes has reissued the Kelly with a style called “Relax,” which reflects the nature of its leather. This is a big-tote-sized bag and is quite a lot slouchier than it appears in this image. And though it may be more laid back in appearance, the price of $11,000 is right in line with the rest of Hermes’ super-pricey offerings.

The insanely stylish Luxirare took a vintage Chanel cassette clutch and had some fun updating it with a very current fox tail. The result is pure deliciousness. Oh, the amazing eye of this woman–she has vision like a super hero! More shots of the bag alone after the flip, which was shown on her e-site, but is no longer available.

In what is looking like it’s shaping up to be a very successful pairing, Longchamp recently announced the second installment from its collaboration with Kate Moss. There are three different groups for fall, plus a revisit to the initial collection, which featured lots of zebra prints. The profiles remain classic, which in it of iteself is a plus, but what makes the collection stand on its own two legs are the color and treatment choices. Via Jalou.

Chanel previewed the latest Coco Cocoon bag collection early in May and now the entire collection is being shown online. Many of the bags–with the notable exception of the sheepskin one featured here, along with a few others–are updated versions of styles from a collection that first launched in 2009 with Lily Allen acting as the spokesperson. Time moves on and now Vanessa Paradis is the face of the label. She’s not nearly as fun as Lily, but these days are more serious ones so perhaps the choice was prescient.
Tons more styles after the flip.
