Karl Lagerfeld is now offically the face of Volkswagon “Style,” which, according to Racked, is “a special-edition add-on package for Volkswagen’s Golf and Polo models which include a set of lightweight alloy rims, fog lamps, and tinted privacy glass. A Style-Plus package includes all those extras pus a sunroof and an upgrades set of rims.” His favorite fellow, Baptiste Giabiconi, also appears briefly to whisper in his ear.

We’ve seen images of super stunner Megan Fox in her role as the face of Giorgio Armani Beauty, but this is her first video. Why Fox? Armani says she was chosen because “she embodies the spirit of the women of today: free, confident and seductive. Her beautiful features reveal femininity, sensuality and strength.” But more importantly, as a Youtube commentor aptly states, ”Women wear make-up to look good…Megan Fox makes the make-up look good!” Via Stylelist.
Louis Vuitton has released its Resort 2011 ad shots. They feature model Anne Vyalitsyna, as shot by Mark Segal. According to Sassisam, the source for these images, the collection features four collections: “60s Styles Colorama,” “Modern Nostalgia,” “Lolita on the Road,” and “50s Hollywood Glamour.” Where this brand is concerned, clearly Marc Jacobs is sticking to his prissy guns, promoting an old-school, pristine version of luxury when there was a place for everyone and everyone in their place. We’ve presented the runway finale video and now here are some of the images from the Victoria’s Secret runway show. That’s superstar model Adriana Lima above, who, judging from the images, stood out as as doing the best job of working the format. This company makes sexy lingerie for the masses and this show is not about setting trends as much creating an extravaganza that garners a lot of publicity and sets a tone for the brand. Still, the show felt a bit heavy with the guilded wings, barbells and then topped off with a performance by the very dramatic Katy Perry. As fashion moves in a lighter direction it would have nice to see VS at least give a nod in that general direction. Though in fairness, the pitch is not for snobby editors, but holiday shoppers so if it came off a bit like a Las Vegas showgirl performance that was probably no accident. After lots of build-up we get a look at the finale from last night’s Victoria’s Secret runway show in New York. Given the amazing girls this company has the power to pull, plus the amount of money that is invested in the show, this event has to be a total blast. Still, if you look at the audience, you see there are a ton of guys in part because the company invites a lot of folks from the investment community to this event, as Victoria’s Secret is part of a company traded on Wall Street. Which is probably why thoughts of Las Vegas titty bars keep springing to mind everytime I watch it!
Hermes has created a site called Lesailes Hermes, featuring all sorts of cute videos highlighting its many leather products. For instance, one shows a row of reversible totes turning themselves inside out. In the video above, a finger-operated skateboard glides in, around, over and through Hermes’ product line. The best part? It identifies all the tricks made by the finger at the end of the video! Via Trendland.
Monkey down! To publicize Pixelshow’s October 2010 conference in San Paolo, Brazil, the organization had local students construct a sleeping monkey out of 10,000 of Brazil’s most iconic shoe, the flip-flop, used to simulate pixels.
