Sweetly seductive is the jingling of a woman’s accessories, capturing her every move, however quiet. Staring at this image, one can almost hear the sounds they make in motion. With the aggressive  presence of fur this coming winter, the issue of head wear comes to mind. We have seen several versions of the knitted hat, the fedoras  and the more than popular trapper hat a few seasons ago. The people at Oak, who may have been inspired by Hermes’ Autumn/Winter 2009 collection, recently  issued  a slick  leather aviator hat that we think can become an interesting choice. Exclusively handmade from acetate, Adrian Mustelin has been designing sunglasses for some  heavy hitters like Whyred & Martin Lamothe since 2007 . He recently  introduced one of the first lines of eyewear designed to be worn at night, featuring pale lenses that contrast dark blue and green environments without altering color perception. Someone was bored at Russian Vogue and came up with the idea of using a piglet to show the accessories, rather than a model. Since I don’t know whether or not U.S. stereotypes (dirty, glutonous, lazy) of pig personalities translate to Russian (are they universal??) not sure what the message is that’s being sent. While walking the floor of Project, this manicure leaped out, obsessed as I am these days with Ruffian manicures and white with black details as a color combo. The hand belongs to p.r. rep Melissa, who was at the show repping for Kettleblack.  She says all the credit for her superbly-done Cali-gel mani goes to Gloss Nails in California, where she got her nails did before heading out to Vegas. Her whole look was great from her Rachel Comey clogs to her Erin Wasson Low Luv knuckle ring (see above).
