Snobettes Q&A With Antoine Floch Of WOMAN Tradeshows

L-R: Romain Bernardie James, Antoine Floch, Olivier Migda

As a tradeshow dedicated to men that are interested in small but qualitatively high brands, MAN hitted acceptance during the men’s fashion weeks and men’s market weeks in New York this year. With WOMAN, the team behind MAN now debuts the tradeshow with a selection of womens brands, looking to bring something different to a crowded market and working on the basis of Quality before Quantity. A select line-up of brands including YMC, Steve Mono, Waiting For The Sun and Fred Perry Laurel Wreath will show at the first WOMAN during Paris Fahion Week. Antoine Floch, who created MAN and WOMAN together with ‘The Imaginers’ owner and director Romain Bernardie-James and Olivier Migda, takes time out to tell us a little about this new challenge to set up a womens tradeshow, the Paris womenswear scene and working with creative agency Les Imaginers.

Uslu Airlines x Keinemusik Military Nail Polish

30 August 2012, 11.39 | Posted in Music, nail art | No comments »

Berlin based DJ-crew Keinemusik has teamed up with Uslu Airlines to create a nail polish color matching Keinemusiks current military theme. The new addition to Uslu Airlines’ product family is a particular matt camouflage-tone, commonly known as “NATO-Olive,” the color of the German forces outdoor apparel.

Apart from the polish, there will be a limited edition offering of Keinemusik gear, featuring tees and totes highlighted with the polish and riddled with bullet holes. Watch the video above to see how the gear was manufactured at KMC,  both the abbreviation for Saudi Arabia’s military airbase King Khalid Military City and also for Keinemusic Crew. The polish is available online and from all the usual Uslu Airlines retailers.

Uslu Airlines ‘In Flight 6.0′ Airbrush Make-Up Video

09 May 2011, 18.55 | Posted in Fashion, Film, Make- up,Cosmetics | No comments »

We love the idea of airbrush make-up. However, as cool as it sounds it’s even cooler to see the ladies effortlessly applying Feride Uslu’s line of cosmetics to their own faces. The glimpses of her signature nail polishes is of course a major treat, and we give kudos for the inclusion of a little skin tone variety. Presenting an Asian woman and a black woman in the same beauty ad, we just love! Of course there are many more skin tones and races to represent,  but from an independent beauty brand perspective we’re clapping!

Uslu Airlines Air Brush Makeup Demo

The idea of applying makeup with an airbrush sounds intimidating and over the top, but in this lookbook video highlighting Berlin-based makeup company Uslu Airlines‘ product offerings, it seems fun and very chic. Product is either air-brushed on or used with stencils to create other-worldly yet still somehow simple looks. It course it doesn’t hurt if you have nearly invisible pores as the models in this video do.
