Nike and Liberty of London’s collaborative efforts have always been popular among female sneaker fans, and as of this month the famous floral print will be available as a colorway option on Nike’s custom site, NIKEiD. Liberty’s “Capel” and “Pepper” fabrics can be combined with silhouettes including Nike Air Max 1, Nike Dunk Hi and Lo, Nike Blazer Mid and Lo, and Roshe Run. All perfect for Le Look Summer 2013!

Check out the full line-up of sneakers from the latest collaboration between French brand A.P.C. and Nike.

The collection for Spring 2013 includes the Dunk High and the Air Maxim 1. The Nike Dunk High comes in black and wheat suede colorways with gum outer soles. The Nike Air Maxim 1 comes in black and white colorways and also gum outer soles. The Air Maxim 1 comes in two different versions for men and YES for women. While the men’s version, as shown here above, features a black mid-sole on the black colorway, the women’s version also features a white mid-sole on the black colorway, just like on the white colorway. Sounds complicated, but once you have seen it, you will know what we mean.

Just in time for the summer season and only about a month before the first ‘We Own The Night’ run in Berlin will take place (stay tuned for more info), Nike launches the famous NTC workout app for women in Germany. With about 115 workouts, all designed by professional Nike trainers, home training reaches a new level.

Highsnobette, last week joined a personal TRAIN TO RUN session to not only test the new app but also get some helpful tips to prepare for the 10K run on May 24 in Berlin. The result of the session, that usually doesn’t take longer then 15 to 30 minutes, are not only burning legs but first and foremost the cognition that only running doesn’t help to get ready for a run. With over 90 more dimensional workout routines, everyone will find the right way to get in shape this summer.

Our new site is currently being designed and we don’t want to give out the new url just yet, but you can start following us on our new (under construction) Facebook page to stay updated on the latest, including all our posts as we begin the transition.

The theme remains the same, coverage of fashion that speaks to women who want to celebrate their badass, multi-faceted nature and yep, are as comfortable in pair of Louboutin heels as Nike kicks. As always we will cheer loudest for the indie females doing it for themselves and consider it part of our mission to reach out a helping hand to them whenever possible. And we while we may stumble and are lifelong learners ourselves, we staunchly believe love & a positive approach conquer all, yes, even in the world of fashion.

It’s crazy how these sneak peek images have a way of landing in our mailbox! Just nutz! You know all about the Nike, Puma, and Reebok wedges cuz we were the first to show them to you (yes, there are the many fashion blogs that started loving sneakers this year and then, ahem, there’s authenticity), and now Adidas offers it version called the “Amberlight” above. And it’s a bit blurry but that’s how sneak peeks do and you get the story! Look for it to drop July 1st, priced around $90.

Last week Highsnobette, along with 20 other journalists and bloggers from around the world, joined Nike for a 36-hour trip to test and experience the latest version of the Nike Free Run. With a backpack full of sporty ambition (and shorts and shirts that I found covered with dust somewhere in my closet), I said adieu to freezing cold Berlin and Hola to 20-degree Barca.

As soon as we arrived at the hotel there was the unmistakable feeling of a short-term holiday. Ice cold milk shakes and 2 hours of free time spent by the pool immediately put a smile on my face. Beach and the Mediterranean Sea within eyeshot made me ask “is this real life?” But Nike wouldn’t be Nike if they let us lie lazily by the pool instead of experiencing their latest running innovation through intense physical exertion.

What followed was a tight schedule of detailed workouts and runs along the beach and in the mountains. Not to mention a wonderful excursion by boat, a nice bike ride through the city, as well as a detailed presentation about the Nike Free Run – the main protagonist of our 36-hour stay in Barcelona.

The Nike Free Run 5.0 will release in 32 color variations and assures an ultimate barefoot feeling that -personally approved- trains every single muscle of the leg. You’ll see that once again Nike has managed to create a sneaker that both looks great and performs excellently.

First glance at Mellany Sanchez and you may think, okay, bright young woman, tons of potential. After all, she was just tapped by shoe industry hot shot Ronnie Fieg to head up women’s for his recently opened New York store, Kith NYC, starting with a collection of tops and bottoms called White Label for Spring 2013. Spend some time listening to the tale of her come up and you quickly realize she’s already light years past the potential phase. Simply put while most of her classmates were enjoying carefree teen times as high schoolers, she was already chasing down real life opportunities in the fashion industry and juggling not just homework but internships and jobs.

At age 15 she cut her teeth as an intern at Luis Colon’s magazine, Kicks, and all female sneaker store, Laces, and then moved on to jobs and internships at David Z, Rag & Bone, and at J.Crew worked her way up to head merchandiser at the chain’s No.2 Crew Cut store. In addition to Kith, she now handles social media for Oak, and Nike has spotted her, too, recently featuring her in a campaign featuring women’s running gear. We intended to quiz her strictly on the White Label drop, but found her story very easy to listen to. See if you don’t agree:

Q: A few days ago Kith’s White Label dropped its first full launch for men, women and kids. As of now it’s sold to the wall. How long did that take?
Sanchez: It took 90 minutes to sell out. Kith has been making menswear for a while, starting with the Mercer pants. Now it has expanded into women’s and kids. Women were asking for it and Ronnie was listening.

Q: What did the collection include?
Sanchez: The Mercer pants in six colors –black, grey, olive, navy, burgunday and khaki, plus two tops—one all black and the other denim with grey sleeves. The denim is raw Japanese denim with selvidge details.

Q: Ronnie Fieg is a friend to HighSnobette so we know he has a very big personality. How is it working with him?
Sanchez: We both respect each other’s work ethic, and even though we have completely different mind sets we have common goals. We have so many conversations about art and they’re completely different. We’re constantly battling over creative decisions. It’s his company but he appreciates and respects what I like. And I’m confident in what I know, I’m immersed in a lot of worlds, whether it’s discussions about the local bodega to what’s taking place in architecture and the art world.
