This past Tuesday while Lois was chatting at Staple designe with  the amazing Clyde Frazier I was styling away at the Farfetch #DigitalDressup. Launched in 2008, Farfetch is a unique destination for designer apparel  linked to various boutiques all over the world. On the next page take a look at some of the looks I styled. Rihanna wears a custom-made Lanvin creation by Alber Elbaz. She looks great in the petrol blue body suit that is embroidered with Swarovski crystals all-over.

This clutch from Lanvin’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection is embellished with satin and comes with an Eiffel Tower appliqué and dazzling beads, crystals and faux pearls and therefore gives every look the perfect Parisian touch.

One of the reasons Lois and I often frown on the  stereotypical representation of the Bon qui qui’s of the world is that they tend to inspire fashion, not just what we see on the streets, but high end fashion. Of course the piling on of jewellery as we see in this Lanvin show can be traced as far back to the Romans, kings and queens of the Middle East,  Africa, Asia etc. However to bring this little expose of  closer  to this century I can also site Mr.T , Run DMC , most rappers of the 80s’s and 90’s, and most recently Trinidad James in his ‘All Gold Everything’ video . Honorable mention also goes to the incomparable Iris Apfel (She rocks). Needless to say as an accessories fiend I want every single chain assortment in the show. Alber Elbaz has created a custom-made Lanvin dress for the famous fashionista Minnie, to celebrate the extension of the 20th Anniversary of Disneyland Paris. Follow Alber and Minnie to the Lanvin studio and see how the dress is exclusively made for the most fashionable Disney figure in the video featured above. Enjoy!

Following Lanvin’s offering of bubblegum-flavored macarons made in collaboration with famous patissier Ladurée, now U.S. designer Reed Krakoff has teamed up with Ladurée to create an all-black matte dark chocolate macaron for all who have more wicked thoughts about Valentine’s Day.

The iconic confection will be presented in a custom limited edition black matte Ladurée box available at Ladurée New York store (864 Madison Avenue) on February 8th.

High-fashion minimalism has been a leading trend on the runways for at least a few seasons, a look that kicked into high gear with Celine’s Autumn 2012 runway. For the latest “Weekly Outfit,” we pay tribute to the trend with an array of lux pieces that we are currently lusting after. Clean edges and heavy duty leather, we salute you.

After a first preview image made its way through the web last week, we were excited to see the rest of the campaign images from Lanvin’s Spring/Summer 2013 campaign shot by Steven Meisel. Actually, now that they’re out it’s not a big surprise to see that they all look kind of the same. Nonetheless, with  models Daria Strokous, Karlie Kloss & Saskia de Brauw starring in the campaign each image is still a visual treat.

Karlie Kloss stars in the cover story of M Le Monde magazine’s cover story for December. The spread shows the top model and her androgynous side in a mix of black and white and neo colored shots wearing amazing pieces by Lanvin, Balenciaga and Mugler styled by Aleksandra Woroniecka. Photographed by Daniel Sannwald the editorial is a beautiful story of contrasts; soft and sharp, warm and cold, boyish and femine. Love it!

Lanvin just dropped the lookbook for the jewellry collection ‘Pandora’ which is inspired by antique versions of animal heads. The collection is part of Alber Elbaz 10 year anniversary at Lanvin and features tiger heads in form of cuffs, chockers and belts; each of them graced with a huge jaw in either yellow, green or blue. We love it!
